Huo Lei strengthened Blazing Fire Academy, gained new powers and Soul Bones, then led his companions through years of training in Death Grand Canyon. The group returned to the academy after securing new Soul Rings, where Huo Lei reunited them with Jin Shan and Huo Feng.

• Huo Lei returned to Blazing Fire Academy, advised Huo Feng on strengthening the academy, and recruited Huo Chui and Huo Jun as teachers.
• Huo Lei ate the singular velvet sky chrysanthemum, reached level 59, and joined Jin Shan for a journey to Death Grand Canyon.
• Jin Shan weakened the Thunderclap Hell Prison Vine, and Huo Lei killed it, absorbed its Soul Ring, and gained Kras as a remnant soul within its Soul Bone.
• Huo Lei absorbed a Molten Gold Fire Ape’s Soul Ring to reach level 63, then absorbed Kras’s Soul Bone and inherited the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud.
• Huo Lei assembled a training group and led its members into Death Grand Canyon, where they fought Soul Beasts, gained experience, and acquired a Bloodthirsty Demon Bear Left Arm Bone for Lin Yin.
• Huo Lei revealed the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud and shared immortal herbs with Feng Xiaotian, Xue Wu, and Shui Bing'er, while Feng Xiaotian’s breakthrough brought him to level 50.
• Four years later, Shui Yue'er gained a Soul Ring and torso Soul Bone from a Water-Spouting Demon Fish, and Huo Wu absorbed the Soul Ring of a Blazing Fire Spider.
• Huo Lei ended the expedition and returned to Blazing Fire Academy, where he introduced Jin Shan and Huo Feng to Shui Bing'er, Shui Yue'er, and Xue Wu.

Huo Lei recruited Yunxiang and led his companions north to obtain Soul Rings and Soul Bones, culminating in An Jun becoming Snow Leopard Douluo. The group cooperated with the Snow Soul Bear King to access Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Marrow, but they could not break it free and sought a way to absorb it.

• Huo Lei visited Skywater Academy with Jin Shan, donated water-attribute Soul Beast carcasses, and arranged to travel north with Shui Bing'er and Xue Wu.
• Huo Lei obtained Xue Ye's authorization and recruited Yunxiang from Heaven Dou Royal Academy before she reached level sixty on the journey north.
• An Jun helped Shui Bing'er and Yunxiang obtain their sixth Soul Rings, and Huo Lei gave them the Frost Demon Frog's Left Leg Bone and the Mirror Shadow Beast Head Soul Bone.
• Huo Lei killed all fifteen members of Hao Te’s squad in the Frozen Forest and took their Storage Rings.
• Huo Lei's party obtained Xue Wu's sixth Soul Ring and a Snow Spirit Monkey King left leg bone before continuing into the Far North.
• Huo Lei concealed the group with the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud until Jin Shan ordered an attack on the wounded Ice Leopard Emperor, which An Jun killed for its hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring.
• Huo Lei agreed to cooperate with the Snow Soul Bear King for access to the cave's treasure, while An Jun completed his ninth Soul Ring and became rank ninety-one Snow Leopard Douluo.
• Huo Lei and An Jun failed to retrieve the Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Marrow, and An Jun later revealed that the Ice Leopard Emperor had yielded a Trunk Bone.

Huo Lei and his companions gained powerful Soul Rings and Soul Bones in the Far North, then he organized the elemental academies and killed Tang Hao and Tang San to claim their Soul Bones. After distributing the gains and strengthening his allies, Huo Lei returned to Blazing Fire Academy as Spirit Hall prepared a hunt in the Star Dou Great Forest.

• Huo Lei helped Shui Bing'er and Xue Wu cultivate with the ten-thousand-year profound ice marrow, then guided their hunts for high-level Soul Rings and Soul Bones in the Far North.
• Shui Bing'er killed the Frost Condensing Willow Emperor and absorbed its Soul Ring and Right Leg Bone, while Yunxiang cultivated on purified ice energy from the marrow.
• Huo Lei arranged for An Beichen to absorb the marrow, then returned with his companions to the Northern Conquest Marquis Estate and met Han Song and Ye Zhiqiu in Iceforest City.
• Huo Lei helped Han Song and Ye Zhiqiu obtain Soul Rings, then returned to Blazing Fire Academy and persuaded Huo Feng and Xie Chong to unite the elemental academies at a new site near Shrek Academy.
• Huo Lei and Jin Shan obtained Soul Bones in Sunset Forest, strengthening Jin Shan and Huo Feng, then traveled to Holy Soul Village to find Tang Hao and Tang San.
• Jin Shan killed Tang Hao after their fight, and Huo Lei killed Tang San and the Blue Silver Emperor before taking their Soul Bones and dividing some among Jin Shan and Lin Yin.
• Huo Lei absorbed the Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone and later gave Soul Bones to Lin Yin, Huo Wushuang, Huo Wu, and Feng Xiaotian, improving their abilities.
• Bibi Dong named Hu Liena Spirit Hall's Holy Maiden and ordered her, senior leaders, and twenty Red-Clothed Cardinals to capture the transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast in the Star Dou Great Forest.
