Background

Zhu Zhuqing came to Immortal Mountain alone at midnight because she disliked crowds and sought Su Chen’s apprenticeship. Her first Trait Entry assessment fell short of the required three Red-grade entries, leaving her insulted that diligence and appearance seemed more exceptional than her innate talent. Su Chen explained that Trait Entries reflect a person’s present condition rather than an unchangeable fate, then advised her to overcome hesitation, develop absolute diligence, and pursue speed through life-threatening training 12 13.

After Dai Mubai and the Shrek faction demanded that she support them regardless of who was at fault, Zhuqing rejected their idea that strength alone determined justice. Remembering Su Chen’s instruction not to place her hopes in others, she left Shrek Academy and warned Immortal Mountain of Zhao Wuji’s planned retaliation 14.

Ning Rongrong became Zhuqing’s first close friend at Immortal Mountain, sharing spirit liquid, medicinal baths, and cultivation resources. Zhuqing nevertheless refused to remain dependent on Rongrong’s advantages; she left for the Star Dou Forest to train independently, pursue fast soul beasts, and earn her qualification fairly 16 17.
