The Battle Between Good and Evil

After the five villains appeared, they immediately eyed one another warily.

They were villains, after all. They trusted no one, least of all strangers.

But to complete their mission, the five briefly introduced themselves, then each used their own means to head into outer space.

Meanwhile, deep within Blue Star's core...

Thanos sensed the arrival of the five villains and felt even less urgency to leave.

The situation was obvious: the Celestial and Oblivion were pitting their pieces against each other. If he went out now, he wouldn't even know which side to help.

He could side with Oblivion, but he had absorbed the Aether Oblivion had placed there.

He could side with the Celestial, but he had opposed the Celestial before. Who knew if the Celestial would even accept his help?

Besides, he already had all six Stones.

The Aether had not yet become the Reality Stone, but that was only a matter of time.

All he needed was a chance to control the Aether and turn it solid.

So he no longer feared falling out with either Oblivion or the Celestial.

Unless they intervened in person and destroyed this universe, they could not kill him.

A moment later, he looked at the enormous Tiamut before him and suddenly asked, "Tiamut, when you're born, will you destroy Blue Star?"

A voice soon sounded in his mind.

It was Tiamut's clear, feminine voice.

But she sounded uncertain. "I'm not sure. Maybe not."

Curious, Thanos asked, "Maybe not? Is there another way?"

Tiamut thought for a moment before answering, "My birth requires me to absorb an enormous number of souls. Only then can I control my body. But if I delay my birth until I've absorbed enough souls, I can teleport straight outside. I don't necessarily have to destroy the planet."
