A Complete Victory

The members of the Black Order had joined Thanos's team at different times.

Corvus Glaive was the first to become Thanos's subordinate, followed by Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight, Cull Obsidian, and finally Supergiant.

In order to become the leader of the five generals, Corvus Glaive had gotten together with Proxima Midnight.

As the weakest of the five generals, Proxima Midnight had agreed as well in order to secure her position.

It could be said that the Black Order was not as harmonious as it appeared.

However, things had not escalated to the point where they hated one another.

After discussing matters for a while, they continued their encirclement and slaughter of the Asgardian Gods.

Although the outcome of the battle had already been decided and over a million Asgardian Gods had been surrounded, it would still take time to capitalize on those gains.

After all, even slaughtering over a million pigs would take quite some time, let alone the Asgardian Gods, whose individual strength was more than twice that of the Black Order.

On a Planet that had just been destroyed.

"Pant... pant..."

Odin and Thanos stood there, panting as they stared at each other.

more than ten thousand cosmic Spaceships would be enough to wear Odin to death.

Hearing Thanos's words, Odin cautiously turned to look behind him.

The next second, he saw something he could not believe.

The Asgardian Gods had actually been surrounded by the enemy. Like lambs awaiting slaughter, they were utterly powerless to resist.

Yet he had no strength at all to return and support them.

After a while, Odin slowly turned back, gritted his teeth, and said viciously, "Tell me. What conditions would make you withdraw?"

Thanos shook his head without saying anything.

Even now, Odin had not recognized his own position.

Besides, they had no basis for negotiation.

What Thanos wanted was the entire Milky Way, as well as the other five Infinity Stones.

Their interests were irreconcilably opposed.

Of course, unless Odin was willing to become his subordinate.

But that was impossible.

To make the king of the gods and overlord of the Milky Way serve someone else—Odin would probably refuse even in death.

Seeing Thanos's expression, Odin also knew that reconciliation was almost impossible. Ignoring the backlash, he forcibly activated Divine Descent once more.

Seeing this, Thanos immediately activated the Ruler and Destructive Power states as well.

After fighting for a while, Odin's eyes suddenly flashed. The golden armor covering his entire body abruptly exploded, and its fragments wrapped around Thanos, instantly restricting his movements.

This armor was a high-grade divine artifact. Aside from its formidable defense, it could be sacrificed to restrain an enemy.

Then, while Thanos was restrained, Odin thrust his spear into Thanos's chest.

As Thanos stared in disbelief, Odin revealed a victor's smile and slowly pulled out Gungnir.

"Haha, in the end, I still won!"

After laughing triumphantly, he ended Divine Descent and went to support his subordinates.

Under the assault of Gungnir, he quickly slaughtered the enemies cleanly.

Just as he was feeling pleased with himself, the Eagle Helm on his head suddenly flashed several times.

Then he abruptly sensed that something was wrong.

Everything seemed too smooth—so smooth that it was unbelievable.

Once that thought arose, he immediately felt that everything around him was unreal.

Then, for no apparent reason, he felt a wave of nausea.

After retching for a while, his vision blurred, and he returned to the place where he had killed Thanos earlier.

Thanos touched the Mind Stone in his hand, feeling a wave of disappointment.

When Odin had turned to look behind him, Thanos had used the Mind Stone's power.

But even after draining so much of Odin's energy, he had still managed to wake from the illusion.

It seemed his control over the Mind Stone was still insufficient.

Seeing that Thanos remained silent, Odin tightened his grip on Gungnir, activated Divine Descent once more, and charged forward again.

However, after learning Odin's trump card, Thanos fought with exceptional caution.

He was afraid of being trapped by Odin's armor again.

As time passed, Odin discovered that Thanos was once again forcing him down toward the next Planet, and his heart turned cold.

Although he had used Divine Descent in the illusion just now, it had genuinely consumed his energy and potential.

He could not maintain Divine Descent for much longer.

He had to escape.

The enemy before him could only be fought by joining forces with others.

But the subordinates he had brought...

Forget it. As long as the green hills remained, there would always be firewood. His life was more important.

Once the desire to retreat arose, he immediately began searching for an escape route.

After knocking Thanos back once, he flashed away, abandoned the subordinates fighting on the front line, and flew backward at full speed.

Seeing this, Thanos immediately pursued him, afraid that Odin would escape.

But at that moment, a rainbow-colored beam of light suddenly flew in from afar.

Seeing that light, Thanos immediately had a bad feeling.

Odin vanished with it.

It turned out that Odin had instructed Heimdall to activate the Bifrost and take him away.

Thanos's expression turned ugly at the sight.

After all, he had no way to stop such black technology as the Bifrost.
