Purple light flickered constantly in Thanos's eyes.

His mental power was sweeping through his dimension, searching for any unknown intruders.

From conversations among the Dimension Lords, he had learned that those whose true bodies had been killed had apparently absorbed something strange while absorbing Reality Universes. That had exposed the coordinates of their dimensions, allowing the Celestials to descend directly into them and kill their true bodies.

He had never absorbed an entire universe, but he had absorbed quite a few Fixed Stars recently. He needed to be careful.

After all, he still did not know how the Celestials had found him last time. It was possible he had exposed himself.

But repeated checks revealed nothing unusual.

Either the Celestials had hidden their arrangements well, or there was nothing there.

As he pondered this, he suddenly sensed a change in Wanda's thinking.

The Black Order and Sain lowered their heads under his gaze. None met his eyes.

Over the past six months, Quicksilver had beaten everyone into submission. Thanos was the only one he had not challenged.

They resented it, but in a universe where might made right, none dared oppose him openly.

After a while, Thanos opened his eyes and looked at his subordinates. He was about to speak when discomfort seized his throat.

"Cough, cough..."

Quicksilver immediately asked with concern, "My lord, are you all right?"
