For some reason, though, the Anti-Life Equation was sealed inside Blue Star.
There it remained until Darkseid discovered it, claimed it, and used it to rule the universe.
As the Anti-Life Equation activated, Thanos's eyes grew unfocused.
Darkseid seemed to be the strongest being in the world. Invincible.
He was God, the origin of everything.

Darkseid could already picture Thanos kneeling before him in submission.

The people of Blue Star, who had been cheering moments ago, froze.
When they had seen Thanos thrash Superman and Darkseid, they had thought they might finally be free of the tyrant's rule.
