Once Fire Phoenix saw that the crisis was over, she flew toward the sun and devoured it. Then she breathed out a mouthful of flame that consumed an entire continent, killing tens of billions of people and countless demons and monsters.
After watching Fire Phoenix display her might, break the Buddhist Sect's forces, and slaughter countless people, with her flames threatening to spread to other continents, Nuwa could no longer hold back.
She could stay out of the struggle between the Heavenly Dao and Hongjun, but she could not stand by and watch the Human Race she had created be slaughtered.
And so, after her devastating rampage, Fire Phoenix became locked in battle with Nuwa.
But Nuwa was wary of Fire Phoenix's flames, which could burn anything. She fought cautiously, and neither side could gain the upper hand.
Meanwhile, the Heavenly Court and the Buddhist Sect had suffered heavy losses from Fire Phoenix's earlier blast and were once again being driven back by the Black Order.
Three days later, all 365 immortals of the Investiture of the Gods had fallen. Wanda snapped the Jade Emperor's neck and destroyed his Divine Soul, leaving him unable to revive.
Only the Queen Mother survived, barely saving her life by hiding among the Buddhist Sect's disciples in time.
The Bodhisattvas
