First Participation in the Tarot Club

After Mr. Fool's brief introduction, Justice Audrey greeted him first. "Hello, Mr. Hermit."

Then, as usual, she continued greeting the other members, effectively introducing the existing members and their code names to the newcomer.

While greeting the other members, she also carefully observed the new member as a Telepathist of the Spectator Pathway. With the Gray Fog obscuring his features, Mr. Hermit looked to be in his twenties. His clothes and hairstyle were rather casual yet very neat, so he should be a fairly disciplined man who did not particularly like following rules.

He was somewhat curious but not nervous. After becoming curious, he grew cautious, indicating that he possessed excellent mental fortitude and likely had a rational, steady personality.

After a brief observation, Audrey had already outlined a general "psychological profile" of Mr. Hermit in her mind.

At the same time, Odys was observing the other members. Under the effects of the Gray Fog, Mr. Fool appeared mysterious and powerful. To avoid being "made an example of," Odys did not observe him too closely.

Across from him was a young girl with golden hair dressed in noble attire. Although her appearance could not be seen clearly, her spirituality conveyed that she was an exceptionally beautiful girl.

Below Audrey sat Fors Wall, with slightly curly brown hair and wearing a beige dress. She did not put on any airs.

At the top of Odys's row was Alger Wilson, with blue hair, a rugged appearance, and the attire of the Rorsted Archipelago.

Beside him stood a youth a full head taller than Odys, dressed in classical leather clothing. This was Little Sun, Derrick Berg.

At the very bottom sat the gloomy-looking Fool's Alt, who seemed to possess little of a living person's vitality.

Everyone was also observing the new member. Magician Fors wondered whether he was a Beyonder, while Hanged Man Alger guessed at his origins. The Sun Derrick was simply delighted that the Tarot Club had grown.

As for World, he was still only a fake identity and had no thoughts of his own.

After the greetings and a certain amount of mutual observation, Audrey spoke first. "Esteemed Mr. Fool, there's something I'd like to report to you privately."

Alger withdrew his attention from Mr. Hermit. A private report?

He then subconsciously began guessing what the report might concern.

Behind the Gray Fog, Klein gave a slight nod. "Very well."

After saying this, he blocked the other members' senses and began communicating with her privately.

Audrey reported how she had come into contact with the Psychology Alchemists and submitted two pages from the diary she had seen at the Roselle Memorial Exhibition.

In Odys's impression, the Tarot Club had held too many meetings. He had no recollection of the contents of Audrey's private report this time, so he quietly waited along with the other members.

About four or five minutes later, the "private report" ended. Fors eagerly looked toward World at the bottom. "Mr. World, I'll gather a Magical Item or powerful Beyonder Weapon from the Sun domain for you as soon as possible."

Odys was briefly stunned before recalling the matter. Klein was going to fight a member of the Indulgence Faction of the Rose School.

He leaned forward slightly and was just about to speak, but then remembered that this was his first time attending the Tarot Club. He should focus on observing for now, as that was what a normal person would do.

Audrey asked, "What deal did you reach privately?"

Fors did not hide anything. "Mr. World helped me find the potion formula for Trickmaster."

She was still an Apprentice. She had spent several years searching for the Sequence 8 formula, so she had never expected to obtain the formula she had dreamed of so soon after joining the Tarot Club.

Audrey sighed inwardly. Mr. World is really good at finding potion formulas!

She then asked enthusiastically, "Mr. Hermit, did you have some question about Magical Items or Beyonder Weapons just now?"

Odys's small movement had naturally escaped no Telepathist's notice. However, she had misunderstood his meaning, thinking that he was confused about the concepts of Magical Items and Beyonder Weapons.

To most Beyonders, the concepts of these two things were indeed easy to confuse.

"First, I must thank you for your concern." Odys spoke courteously. Since things had come to this, he had no choice but to say what he had been about to say. Otherwise, as a first-time attendee, he might very well be labeled "dishonest" or something similar.

"I happen to have a Beyonder Weapon from the Sun domain. Well, more precisely, it can no longer be considered a Beyonder Weapon, because I used Beyonder materials of the Sequence 7 level in it.

Behind the Gray Fog, the corners of Klein's mouth curled up slightly. Through World, he had hinted that Magician's discussion of purchasing a Magical Item at the Tarot Club was meant to attract Mr. Hermit's attention.

After all, now that the Tarot Club had access to such a channel, there was no reason not to use it.

Audrey was slightly stunned. She had not expected her Mind Reading to fail this time. Then she was surprised that the new member could actually provide a Beyonder Weapon.

Alger guessed, Is the new member an Artisan?

Little Sun Derrick thought, Every member of the Tarot Club seems so impressive!

Fors was also stunned. Recalling how rarely Beyonder Weapons were traded at Beyonder gatherings, she thought, Mr. Fool must have carefully considered things when choosing the new members.

But then she thought, Justice is a noble, Hanged Man has channels at sea, the Sun comes from the Forsaken Land of the Gods, and World has all sorts of extensive channels. The new member seems to have channels for Beyonder Weapons... Uh, what use am I?

While Magician fell into self-doubt, Klein manipulated World and said in a low voice, "You can describe the Beyonder Weapon you possess. If it suits me, I can also purchase it directly from you."

Odys introduced it. "When not in use, this weapon is only as long as an adult's palm. It's cylindrical in shape and can be held in one hand.

"After spirituality is infused into it, its upper and lower ends extend, forming an illusory, pure-white staff about the length of a forearm.

"As long as spirituality is infused, warm, pure power will fill an area within five meters. Fallen, evil, and undead Monsters will continuously suffer damage, while one's allies will constantly receive encouragement.

"It can unleash Purifying Slash at a target, with an attack range of roughly fifteen meters. It can also create holy water."

This was one of the more powerful weapons among Odys's experimental products. During its creation, he had used part of the Red Comb of a Dawn Rooster, one of the main ingredients for advancing to the Sun High Priest of Sequence 7 in the Sun Pathway.

Klein frowned slightly. This sounded somewhat different from an ordinary Beyonder Weapon. He manipulated World and asked, "How much do you plan to sell it for? How long can it be used?"

Beyonder Weapons generally had a problem with their "service life."

"1,200 pounds!" Odys quoted. "It requires maintenance once a year and can be used for at least five or six years, perhaps even longer. Each maintenance session will cost 150 pounds!"

Behind the Gray Fog, Klein instantly sat up straight. This definitely isn't an ordinary Beyonder Weapon!
