Background
Audrey is Earl Hall’s daughter and a wealthy Backlund aristocrat. Her family treats Beyonder materials and Characteristics as investment assets, giving her access to resources that most independent Beyonders cannot obtain. 105
As Justice, she is an early member of the Tarot Club. She regularly contributes Roselle’s Diary pages, participates in pooled intelligence purchases, and helps maintain the group’s norms of reciprocal exchange. 14 105 131
Appearance
Audrey is a golden-haired young noblewoman of exceptional beauty, known publicly as Backlund’s “most dazzling jewel.” Her aristocratic attire and composed bearing reinforce the image of a polished, high-born lady. 14 77
- Golden hair and gemlike eyes. 14 379
- Usually wears elegant noble attire. 14
- Her beauty and temperament unsettle even Vice Admiral of Ailment Tracy. 378 379
Personality
Audrey is observant, calm, and socially perceptive. As a Spectator, she instinctively studies posture, emotional reactions, and inconsistencies between a person’s words and behavior. Her scrutiny of Hermit’s performed surprise at the Tarot Club eventually helps her identify his connection to Lelouch. 14 17 238
Despite her sheltered upbringing, she is drawn to the Beyonder world’s dangers and mysteries. When Lelouch hid in her carriage at gunpoint, she stayed composed, restrained Annie from escalating the situation, and recognized that he did not genuinely intend to harm them. 77
She has a strong moral streak and insists on clear boundaries. Audrey objects when Odys admits to using Witchcraft to increase Hibbert Hall’s trust, explicitly forbidding him from using Beyonder abilities on her family again. 378 She later struggles with guilt after learning of Duke Nigen’s assassination, as the Duke had treated her kindly. 336
Abilities & Skills

- Profiled Hermit as rational, composed, self-disciplined, curious, and cautious during his first Tarot Club gathering. 14
- Noticed that Hermit’s physical reactions did not match his apparent shock at Derrick’s location. 16 17
- Used a direct question about Lelouch to observe Hermit’s reaction, successfully exposing his connection to the alias. 238
- Recognized suspicious behavior from disguised individuals, including Odys infiltrating Duke Nigen’s ball as a servant. 335
Hypnosis and Psychological Invisibility

- Used Psychological Invisibility during the Pulang Tribe investigation, though she was initially unaccustomed to covert operations. 379
- Resisted Hvin Rambis’s Psychological Suggestion due to a blessing connected to Mr. Fool. 409
Field Investigation and Combat
Audrey increasingly takes part in direct supernatural operations rather than remaining solely an observer.
- Identified that the robes and golden masks on hanging corpses concealed a deeper ritualistic purpose. 382

Story Role / Major Arcs
Tarot Club Observer
Audrey welcomes Hermit as a new Tarot Club member and immediately assesses him with her Telepathist abilities. While other members accept his apparent reactions, Audrey notices that he is performing surprise and suspects he knows more than he admits. 14 17
Encounter with Lelouch
Audrey discovers Odys hiding beneath her carriage while using the alias Lelouch. Rather than panic, she manages Annie’s fear, questions him carefully, and later keeps the encounter secret because she recognizes him as another Beyonder. 77 78
Her later question to Hermit—“You’re Lelouch, aren’t you?”—is a deliberate psychological test. His reaction confirms the link between the identities. 237 238
Berserk Sea Expedition
After advancing, Audrey hires Odys as a guide for a one-day journey to the Berserk Sea. She accompanies him to Krus Island, where Odys uses her appearance to unsettle Tracy and obtain classified information from the Demoness. 378 379
The excursion becomes a confrontation with the God of Lightlessness, a Sequence 4 sea snail worshipped by the Pulang Tribe. Audrey witnesses Odys kill the creature, then discusses piracy, morality, and social order with him in Bayam. 380
First Direct Combat
Audrey joins the investigation into the hanging corpses and the buried Balam Empire city. Armed with Magical Items from Odys, she and Susie confront undead beings beneath the Church of the Death God. 382 383
Although shaken by the battle, Audrey recovers and actively assists Susie in restraining an enemy. Daly later awards her a Gatekeeper Characteristic as part of the operation’s spoils. 383
Psychology Alchemists and Political Intelligence
Hvin Rambis attempts to turn Audrey into an intelligence source through Psychological Suggestion. Rather than immediately destroy the connection, Audrey accepts Odys’s advice to provide controlled, low-value intelligence while learning more about Hvin’s objectives. 409
By the later stages of the story, Audrey serves on the Psychology Alchemists’ Council of Reviewers and has become a Demi-God with influence beyond her original aristocratic sphere. 466
