Casseroya Lake.
Its vast expanse of blue water rolled with waves.
Thin mist draped the lake like gauze, shimmering with a cool blue light. Where the warm breeze passed, ripples spread from the lake's heart, breaking the reflection of Glaseado Mountain.
To the northeast, a silver waterfall thundered down. It was Casseroya Falls, one of Paldea's ten great sights.
Click.
The scenery froze on the screen.
"If only Moon-Watching Lake looked like this." Baimu lowered his phone and bent to ask, "Don't you think?"
"Graa!"
All three of Hydreigon's heads answered at once.
Hydreigon had temporarily taken over as Baimu's mount while Miraidon recovered. The Cowardly Lizard didn't dare complain, but now that it could fly again, it felt disappointed not to be carrying Baimu.
Arven unfolded his map. "The Titan Pokémon seems to be hiding among the islands in the lake. Baimu, can you swim?"
"We'll fly straight over! Why swim?"
Baimu sent out Steelix. Miraidon could cross water too, but Arven never seemed comfortable around it.
There was no need to put Arven through that.
Arven looked up at Giant Steelix, which towered like a mountain. His stomach fluttered at the memory of nearly being thrown off the last time he had ridden it.
"Maybe I should just—"
"Grr!"
Steelix rumbled and abruptly lowered its massive head. The ground shook with a bang, and Arven swallowed the rest of his words.
That burning-red eye, larger than his head, was intimidating.
"..."
Arven climbed on in silence and sat obediently with his knees hugged to his chest.
Baimu laughed. "Relax. Steelix won't throw you off."
"I-I am relaxed!"
Arven stubbornly switched to sitting cross-legged, though he couldn't help gripping a protrusion on Steelix's head.
Baimu shook his head and called for the two Pokémon to set off.
Halfway there,
