"Shaaa!"
Hydreigon hovered high in the sky.
Wisps of cloud curled around it and Dragapult. A trace of horror still lingered on Dragapult's face.
Shiny Gengar poked half its head out of the shadows. "Gar?"
It had seen something too, though apparently not the same thing Dragapult had.
A deep pit?
Wasn't it just a huge mass of pitch-black fog?
Gengar knew little about the Spirit World, so it kept quiet rather than muddle its trainer's thinking.
Baimu looked away. "It's fine. Given the size of Mt. Pyre, anything could show up here."
"Drag."
Dragapult was unconvinced.
Entrances to the Spirit World usually did not exist in the physical world. They could only be glimpsed at certain places and times.
Like the room he had encountered at the Mauville Hotel, or the other Arena within the Lower Arena.
But right now, an opening this large connected directly to reality!
Wouldn't something nasty come out?
The Socially Awkward Dragon was a little worried. As far as it knew, Evil Spirits were rare in the physical world but everywhere in the Spirit World.
After all, some beings simply could not accept their own deaths and stubbornly resisted the natural order.
What if an Evil Spirit latched onto its trainer?
If that happened, then—
It would just have to go on a killing spree.
Dragapult sneaked a look at Baimu. Its trainer clearly had no idea how serious this was.
No helping it. Time for Dragapult to clean up its trainer's mess!
It pictured Baimu getting into trouble, then itself stepping forward to save him like a heroic dragon. Its trainer would cry out that having Dragapult around was the best thing ever.
It would be so much more useful than Pokémon like Aggron or Hydreigon! Bwahaha!
The Socially Awkward Dragon nearly laughed
