In other words, Sirfetch'd had gained Dragon-type resistance, while still being able to inflict Paralysis, Burn, Poison, and other Status Conditions on Hydreigon.
That was because Hydreigon's Ability was Levitate. Unless it stayed pressed close to the ground the entire time, it was destined to be unable to enjoy Misty Terrain's Status Condition immunity...

Sirfetch'd did not seem to have any moves in its current movepool that could inflict a Status Condition.
