Baimu and Mawile leaned in curiously, only to see Aggron seemingly wanting to smash apart a moss-covered Rock, yet looking too afraid to do so.

"Roar~"

Aggron turned its head and pointed at the Rock, which was roughly knee-high, indicating that it seemed to sense something.

"This is... a Moss Rock?"

He crouched down to inspect it. In the games, there was a type of Rock that could help Eevee evolve into Leafeon, and in the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire remakes, it happened to be located in Petalburg Woods.

But aside from that, it had no other effects. He was not sure whether this was really one.

He searched up the relevant entries and compared them from every angle, finding that there was a high chance it really was a Moss Rock.

First, Moss Rocks were usually covered in moss only on their "tops," while the other parts had none.

Second, Moss Rocks were much lighter than ordinary Rocks of the same size.

After all, Baimu had grown up in Pyrite Town, so he had a general sense of how much Rocks of the same volume should weigh. As he kept reading, his eyes suddenly lit up.

The entry stated that not every moss-covered Rock could cause changes in Eevee's body. Through analysis, it had been discovered that the vast majority of Moss Rocks likely contained Leaf Stones, or rather, Leaf Stones that had not yet fully formed.

The special force fields they released could cause genetically unstable Eevee to evolve without even touching them.

Likewise, another type of Rock called an Icy Rock also contained Ice Stones or unfinished Ice Stones. That was why later research discovered that Eevee could evolve directly with Leaf Stones and Ice Stones.
