After testing it, Baimu found that it was surprisingly secure.
At first, Baimu could hardly believe it. Then he realized why. "You can make the inside of those holes smaller?"
The openings on the sides of Aggron's head hadn't shrunk, but a little deeper in, they narrowed like funnels, holding the Mega Stone firmly in place.
"You... huh. I had no idea you could do that."
Pokémon really were incredible.
"Grrr~"
Aggron gave him a sheepish grin. It hadn't known it could do that either. It had simply wanted to keep the Mega Stone from falling out, and this was what happened.
Baimu took another close look, clicking his tongue in admiration before thinking of Mawile.
Where would Mawile put its Mega Stone? He would probably have a hairpin made and tie it on with a red ribbon, but perhaps it could fit inside the mouth behind its head?
With that thought in mind, he washed away the day's travel and exhaustion in the bathroom.
The next day.
As soon as Baimu woke, he considered what to do next.
Should he return to Rinshin Town and keep looking for Treecko Forest, revisiting a place from his childhood memories? Or should he stay in Rustboro City and challenge the Pokémon Gym?
He asked Aggron and the other Pokémon for their opinions. Their unhelpful answer was that either option was fine.
"I should've known better than to ask you for advice."
Baimu sighed, got up, dressed, and washed.
Mawile glanced at his back, holding a flyer and looking hesitant. "Maw..."
"Lucky?"
Chansey came over and waved its little hands as if to cheer Mawile on. "Lucky!"
Aggron added a lazy growl. "Grrr~"
"Deino!"
Deino looked around, unsure what was going on.
Galarian Corsola: "..."
Mawile looked at the companions cheering it on
