Shiny Pokémon (Omnibus Chapter!)

The next day, Baimu woke in a room that had been given a quick tidy.

He had spent last night running between the hospital and the police station. Even giving a brief statement had kept him busy until well past midnight, and the officer who attended to them had bags under his eyes darker than his pupils.

Clearly, the officers had been run ragged these past few days too.

Two crimes in such a short span—thieves this "brazen" had caught the police station of a town with virtually no record of anything so serious completely off guard.

Still, the overtime had paid off. By the time the two thieves set out to strike again, the police had tracked down their hideout and were preparing to catch them red-handed when they returned.

Who could have guessed the pair would be bold enough to commit one crime during the day, then go out looking for trouble again that very night—and get caught in the act?

The officers had been dumbfounded.

Fortunately, a certain someone hadn't gone overboard. The thieves woke before long and were subjected to a lengthy interrogation by Jenny and several other officers.

"Ahh..."

Baimu yawned.

When he got back last night, Wally had asked if he wanted to change rooms. Seeing that the place had already been tidied somewhat, Baimu had been too tired to bother. He declined and said they could discuss it after he woke up.

They should be done with the paperwork by now...

He picked up his phone from the bedside table. To his surprise, the first message on the screen was from the police station, asking him to claim the stolen Pokémon Egg he had lost yesterday afternoon.

He had mentioned it while giving his statement. The officer must have put it on record.
