Mega Aggron's roar sent every spectator's blood pumping. They waved their glow sticks and banners wildly.
They stared at the imposing metal beast on the big screen, white mist billowing from its mouth, and cheered and screamed at the top of their lungs.

Most of the crowd had taken Baimu's side—or rather, Mega Aggron's. Media crews from across the battling world trained their cameras on it, shutters clicking nonstop.
One finalist overwhelming the other was rare enough at the Ever Grande Conference to be almost unheard of.
Who was the last Trainer whose strength stood so far above the rest?
Ordinary people might not know, but battle fans in Hoenn certainly did.

People had even jokingly dubbed them "the twins on the Champion's throne."

The reporters recalled rumors that Baimu had once lived at the Sootopolis Gym and had even served as its Gym Leader. They couldn't help drawing connections.
But unlike the excited crowd, Iris was remarkably calm.
A soft golden glow shone from her palm as her Dragon Heart stirred. "Don't let it scare you, Haxorus! There's no way our attacks did nothing! Hold on and we'll win!"
"Hax!"
Haxorus roared back, digging the claws on both feet deep into the soil.
After three rounds of battle, the Grass Field was unrecognizable. Only a few scattered stalks remained of the waist-high grass, exposing the soft, dark soil beneath.
Rain had turned much of the
