At dawn, Baimu crawled out of his tent, yawned, and made a strange face.
Setting aside the peculiar sensation of being a soul, the Hex Maniac's memory of leaving her body was nothing more than an ordinary recollection of playing at an amusement park at night.
It was not particularly useful.
If his soul ever left his body, the memory might help him adjust more quickly. But if he did not experience it today, the odds of it happening later were slim.

He turned and called to Hoopa, whose hand was the only part visible beneath Shiny Gengar's backside.

It had been evening in Kalos. The Little Demon God, whose dictionary had no entry for time zones, had finished his beloved doughnut, opened a Warp Ring, and hurled himself into Baimu's tent like a dog pouncing on food.
Hydreigon had woken first. He had nearly unleashed a Dragon Breath and kept making a racket until Mawile, also startled awake, knocked him on the head.
The commotion had disturbed the nearby Wild Pokémon too. Cries and barks rang out for over half an hour before gradually dying down.
The culprit grinned without a care in the world, while Baimu and the other Pokémon could only endure it.

Still half asleep, Hoopa rubbed his eyes and wriggled out from under Gengar. "What's for breakfast? Doughnuts? It's definitely doughnuts!"

Baimu had no desire to eat something so greasy first thing in the morning.
Hoopa puffed out his cheeks and let his arms droop. "Without doughnuts, Hoopa has no strength. Hoopa won't be able to help Little White," he threatened feebly.
