In the forest.
Baimu stood on high ground, holding a Nutrient Egg as he faced Bewear.
When he saw Bewear lower its swaying arms and the eerie shadow fade from its face, he quietly set the Nutrient Egg in front of him, backed away, and sat on a rock.
Mawile glanced at the small rock, then at the filthy ground, and climbed into its trainer's lap.
"Chi-doh!"
Bewear slowly emerged from its den but did not come any closer.
It merely gazed at the Nutrient Egg on the fallen leaves, then at the calm, composed Baimu and Mawile.
"Goo-goo..."
Bewear seemed to be wondering who these two were, and where the powerful aura of danger it had sensed a moment ago had come from.
Suddenly.
Loud chatter broke the forest's silence.
"What happened? Why did Bewear suddenly scream?"
"An intruder, meow?"
"A wild Pokémon challenging Bewear in this forest? Are you still half asleep?"
"Wobbuffet!"
Voices rose one after another. Then four figures—two tall and two short—poked their heads out from the depths of the tree hollow and looked around curiously.
Bewear looked back.
Baimu and Mawile also turned toward the newly emerged Team Rocket trio.
The forest fell silent again.
Then.
The Team Rocket trio broke out in cold sweats, hurriedly turned their backs, and huddled together to whisper.
James: "Eek! He found us here!"
Jessie: "Did you tell him where we live?"
Meowth: "How could we? M-Meowth isn't stupid, meow!"
Wobbuffet: "Wobbuffet!"
They quickly glanced up at Baimu and Mawile, then turned back to whisper again.
James: "What's he doing here? Is it a coincidence?"
Meowth: "Meowth has a bad feeling about this, meow..."
Wobbuffet: "Wobbuffet..."
Jessie: "What are you afraid of? Have you forgotten where we are? Bewear isn't exactly easy to reason with!"
