The heartwarming reunion brought a smile to Burnet's face. "Wicke will be so happy to see this."
Baimu nodded in agreement.
Although Wicke was a member of the Aether Foundation, she was one of the good guys in both the games and the anime.
That was the main reason he had dared to come straight to her.
"Now that you've found it, take your Pokémon and get out! Stop disrupting our work!"
Faba gave a cold snort.
But Hydreigon's glare grew more vicious by the second. All bark and no bite, Faba didn't dare say another word and slunk away.
Baimu couldn't be bothered with him. The man was bound to get what was coming to him sooner or later.
Besides, career setbacks hurt Faba far more than physical pain. That was why those earlier threats had worked so well.
"Sorry about that," Burnet said. "He acts like an idiot with everyone, but he's competent at his job."
"You don't need to apologize. It has nothing to do with you."
Baimu changed the subject. "Have you contacted Ms. Wicke? What did she say?"
"She's already on her way back," Burnet said quickly. "Are you leaving right away? Why not stay a little longer? I can show you around Aether Paradise!"
