A colossal silver sphere of light exploded against the middle of the "skyscraper."
Billowing smoke scattered the three red clouds circling overhead. Gigantamax Duraludon roared and toppled. Its enormous body struck the ground with enough force to make the shattered stadium quake.
Smoke swirled through the air.
The crimson glow around Duraludon broke into sparks and faded. As the Galar Particles dispersed, its size shrank by nearly half with every passing second.
In the blink of an eye, it had returned to its original form.
But Duraludon was not yet unable to battle. It struggled upright in the lingering dust, a few blackened marks left on its chest.
"Dun!"
It was as though the silver sphere had been all thunder and no lightning.
Many spectators cheering for Raihan breathed a sigh of relief. The commentator said, "Duraludon withstood Aggron's counterattack! Unfortunately, its Gigantamax time is up. Another fierce fight lies ahead!"

Leaving aside any additional effects, his Special Attack-based G-Max Depletion had landed squarely on Mega Aggron. And Metal Burst had returned only that much damage!?
Not very effective and no effect were two different things!
He would rather Duraludon had fallen right there and proved Mega Aggron had taken a devastating hit. Anything would be better than the unbelievable sight of his opponent emerging "unscathed" after three Max Moves!
It was absurd!
