After Calgar had introduced Lin En to all the principal department heads,

Calgar turned to the captain and said, "Inigo, keep an eye on navigation. I'll take Chaplain Lin En to see his quarters first and let him get some rest."

After bidding Captain Inigo farewell, Calgar led Lin En away from the bridge toward the residential section to inspect the quarters assigned to him.

After leaving the bridge, they passed through a main corridor, turned two corners, passed through two heavy blast doors that required Calgar's personal identity verification, and finally entered a heavily guarded area closed to outsiders.

The corridors in this area were noticeably wider than those near the bridge, and the ceilings were higher as well.

The decorations were more lavish too, with golden patterns and carvings added throughout. Thick red carpets covered the floors, while oil paintings of Macragge's landscapes hung along both sides of the corridor every few meters.

Walking through the corridor, one could momentarily forget that they were inside a twenty-six-kilometer-long war machine.
