Taking a small warship into the Warp was simply asking to be fed to the wolves. If a Warp storm swept through, they might be carried off to who knew where.

After leaving the Warp and returning to the Maelstrom galaxy, the Inquisitors returned to their own monitoring ship.

The Astropathic Corps' workplace aboard a starship was generally called an Astropathic Sanctuary or Astropathic Choir Room.

To prevent psychic leakage from interfering with the minds of the ship's crew, an Astropathic Sanctuary was usually sealed off on its own, far from the bridge, isolated with heavy adamantium armor. Unauthorized personnel were strictly forbidden from entering.

Lin En arrived there accompanied by an Inquisitor.

The Astropathic Sanctuary looked more or less like a cathedral and a high-tech laboratory had been forcibly crammed into the same room. The walls were covered in six-pointed-star exorcism runes and psychic grounding arrays, while the floor was laid with a huge circular psychic resonance array. Enormous statues of the Emperor and emblems of the Astronomican Court hung on the walls.

The domed hall was nearly ten meters high. Its glass ceiling was made of golden and colored glass, making it look very much like a cathedral. Sunlight streamed down, creating a solemn, majestic, and dazzling atmosphere.

The domed hall was filled with metal Cradle Pods connected to various pipes, arranged in a circle around the perimeter.

The frail Astropaths lay inside them, stabilizing their vital signs and amplifying their psychic output.
