Belonk stood before the enormous Sea God Warship and touched its golden armor. He released Mechanical Psychic Energy, trying to assimilate the Golden Warship and gauge how difficult it would be.
Belonk's power, derived from the Mechanical God, worked much like Green's Death Corruption: both used Psychic Energy with a particular attribute to change the nature of other matter or living beings.
Death Psychic Energy turned its targets into Undead or Shadow Creatures. Belonk's Mechanical Psychic Energy turned them into Mechanical Life.
After testing several spots, Belonk breathed a quiet sigh of relief. Though the Golden Warship dated back to ancient times, the Mechanical God and this kind of corrosion had not existed then. The ship had no defenses designed against Mechanical Psychic Energy.
If Green tried to corrode the warship with Death Psychic Energy and turn it into an Undead vessel, he would fail despite being stronger than Belonk. Defenses specifically designed against Death Psychic Energy Corruption had long been inscribed within the ship.
Even so, Belonk was far from certain he could convert it completely. The Golden Warship was simply too large.
Green waited a long time. Belonk still stood there, strange clicks and clacks coming from his small mechanical body. Green could not help worrying that Belonk might overload and suddenly explode.
Only after several minutes did Belonk turn around. "Great and merciful master, this ship is enormous. I may need some time. And... could you bring my host here too? Without it to supply energy, my core can barely sustain itself."
"Your host—the Mechanical Dragon? I'll take a look, if it hasn't been captured yet." Green paused. "As for time, how about three months?"
Belonk considered it. "If I have my host, three months will be enough. Otherwise, I'll need an additional supply of Psychic Energy."
