"To check out Impel Down, of course!" Ryan explained.
If Carter and Gaban weren't in Mary Geoise, Impel Down was the most likely place for them. After all, it was the world's foremost prison.
Located in the Calm Belt in Paradise, it had exceptionally tight security and held some of the most vicious criminals alive.
Golden Lion, Roger, the Red Count, and countless other powerful figures had all spent time there. Once someone went in, almost no one came back out.
Since Impel Down's founding, only one person had ever escaped: Golden Lion Shiki!
Even someone as powerful as Golden Lion had paid for his escape with both legs. If he hadn't been ruthless enough to make that sacrifice, he would never have gotten out. That alone showed how secure Impel Down was.
Of course, in the original course of history, Wang Luffy, the child of destiny, had broken that record. Even so, Ryan didn't dare underestimate Impel Down. Surveillance was everywhere inside. Even with the Kukuku Fruit, he would have to be extremely careful. He wasn't going there to fight this time, but to find out what had happened to Carter and Gaban.
"Impel Down?!" Robin exclaimed.
She hadn't expected that to be Ryan's destination.
"Yeah. I'm planning to sneak in," Ryan said.
"I'm coming," Beli said.
Ryan slowly shook his head. "No. Two people would be too easy to spot. If we're discovered, Uncle Carter and Teacher Gaban will be in danger!"
Ryan knew the risks of being exposed, so he turned down Beli's offer.
