First Meeting with Luffy

A moment later, Moyun brought Olvia and Nami to a street. Opposite them, Luffy, wearing his straw hat, was rolling up his sleeves and preparing to fight Richie the Big Lion.

"Excuse me, but your fight might need to pause." Moyun said with a smile.

Hearing Moyun's voice, Luffy turned around, looked at Moyun in confusion, and said, "Who are you? Why are you stopping me from avenging the dog?"

"My name is Moyun." Moyun still smiled. "I'm stopping you because ShSh wants to take revenge himself."

"ShSh?" Luffy tilted his head, thought for a moment, and said, "Who is ShSh?"

Moyun's mouth twitched. You didn't even remember its name, yet you remembered you wanted to help someone get revenge? You really are Luffy.

"No matter who you are or who ShSh is, don't stop me."

Before Moyun could answer, Luffy suddenly raised a hand to press down on his straw hat and stared fiercely at Moyun. "This big lion destroyed the puppy's treasure, and I promised to help it get revenge. No one's going to stop me."

Moyun's face darkened instantly. Regardless of whether Moyun liked his status or not, he was long accustomed to seventeen years of aristocratic life, and this was the first time anyone had ever been so arrogant in front of him.

"I said no means no." Moyun stepped forward, his eyes locked onto Luffy.

Moyun couldn't be bothered to explain anything. Besides, Luffy wasn't the type to listen to explanations.

"Then I'll beat you flat first." As soon as Luffy finished speaking, he clapped his fists together and instantly designated Moyun as an enemy.

"Just in time, I've been dying to experience what kind of strength someone aiming to be the King of the Pirates actually has right now." Moyun stepped forward, looking at Luffy without showing any weakness.

With a snap, Luffy kicked off strongly with both feet and charged fiercely at Moyun.

"Here you come." Moyun charged instantly as well.

The two were fast, instantly closing the distance to within attack range.

Swish.

Luffy swung a punch at Moyun's head. Moyun tilted his head to dodge, then countered with a hook.

Luffy pressed a hand to his straw hat, ducked down, and swept a right leg. Moyun leaped up and kneed toward Luffy.

"Oh..." Luffy tilted his head back, his body flipping backward in a bizarre movement to stand firm.

"Hehe... You can't hit me... Hehe..."

Luffy laughed as he spoke, then instantly charged at Moyun again.

The two did not use special abilities, simply trading ordinary punches and kicks continuously within a small radius.

The battle grew increasingly fierce, their offensives becoming more and more violent. At this point, dodging attacks was no longer very practical. Suddenly, outbursts of intense and compact striking sounds erupted from the open ground.

Olvia and Nami beside them were simply dumbfounded. They completely failed to understand why the two people, who weren't enemies, were fighting so fiercely.

On the other side, Mohji, an officer of the Buggy Pirates sitting on the big lion's head, stared at the two fighting back and forth, the corners of his mouth twitching uncontrollably.

"You two bastards, you're completely ignoring my existence!" Mohji waved the whip in his hand angrily, leaving shallow marks in the ground.

Boom.

Another loud explosion erupted in the combat zone as Luffy and Moyun's fists collided. The ripples stirred up by the clash of power blew away the small stones on the ground, and the two locking gazes grinned simultaneously. The next moment, the separated pair clashed again, and more loud "boom, boom" sounds burst out around them.

The collisions of fists and kicks remained fierce, the sounds acting as silent mockery toward Mohji.

"Bastards, I'll kill both of you... Richie, tear them apart."

Having lost his sanity, Mohji jumped down from the lion's head, still mid-air as he issued the attack command to his beloved pet.

"Awoo..."

Richie the Big Lion let out a roar and charged fiercely into the combat zone of Luffy and Moyun.

Only, Richie had barely taken two steps before it stopped, staring in confusion and anger at the small white dog that had suddenly jumped out in front of it.

"A dog?!" Luffy turned his head to look at ShSh confronting Richie and shouted in surprise.

"Losing focus in battle is not a good thing."

Moyun's voice sounded right beside Luffy's ear. Before Luffy could recover, Moyun's fist slammed fiercely into his face.

Luffy was sent flying by the immense force, crashing with a "boom" into a nearby building.

"Phew." Moyun let out a long breath. "Now I can finally watch the show in peace."

Moyun moved his arms, shook out his hands, and then sat cross-legged on the ground, propping his chin up as he smiled at ShSh the puppy, who was confronting the big lion.

"Is that the puppy from the front of the pet store?"

Mohji, realizing it belatedly, recognized ShSh, and recognition only made him angrier.

"You stupid dog, as a beaten dog, are you trying to provoke a lion's majesty right now?"

Mohji opened his wide mouth to spew insults. His words caused Moyun's head to slide right off his hand, the corners of his mouth twitching incessantly.

"Richie, don't hold back this time, tear it apart for me!"

"Awoo..." Richie the Big Lion roared again, feeling that it had been insulted. Thus, it raised its front paw and swung at ShSh with all its might.

Richie's paw-swipe was fierce, but the current ShSh was completely different. Having eaten the mythical zoan Devil Fruit—the Dog-Dog Fruit: Moon Wolf Form—ShSh easily dodged Richie's attack.

Having evaded the attack, ShSh lay flat on the ground, baring its teeth as it stared fixedly at Richie, who was stunned from missing. Scene after scene of previous memories flashed through ShSh's mind, the expression on its face turning increasingly ferocious until a new crescent moon mark suddenly appeared on ShSh's forehead.

Seeing this, Moyun's eyes lit up.

"Come on, let me see just how strong the Dog-Dog Fruit: Moon Wolf Form really is."

Moyun opened his arms and shouted.

"Awoooo..."

As if in response to Moyun, ShSh, lying on the ground, raised its head and let out a prolonged, wolf-like howl.

Then, with a "pop" sound, ShSh's body suddenly grew larger, the compressed air whipping up clouds of dust and smoke, forcing everyone present to close their eyes.

When the dust settled, ShSh's figure had vanished, and what greeted everyone's eyes was a majestic white giant wolf.

The giant wolf was over three meters long, its entire body covered in pure white fur without a single trace of other colors, standing a fraction taller than Richie the Big Lion and looking especially imposing. In particular, the icy-blue crescent moon mark on its forehead added a strong air of mystery to it.

"Oh, oh, so handsome... Haha... ShSh... You're too cool..."

Moyun slapped his thigh and shouted, his aristocratic bearing as a Celestial Dragon completely vanishing at this moment.

ShSh let out a loud roar, flashing a somewhat humanized smile toward Moyun. The smile contained excitement, gratitude, and a hint of relief.

Unlike ShSh and Moyun, everyone else looked in terror at the suddenly transformed ShSh. Especially Richie the Big Lion; right now, it was cowering right in front of ShSh, trembling all over with nothing in its heart but fear, completely unable to muster any will to fight.
