The sight had dealt Vivi a devastating blow. Pell was Alabasta's guardian deity, someone she had always believed was invincible. Seeing the man hailed as their guardian cut down so easily had turned her world upside down.

"Where's Klibu?" asked a tall, thin, bearded man whose wet hair clung to his face and whose long tongue hung out. His eyes gleamed green in the darkness.
"Playing with the Banana Crocodiles," Miming said with a sinister grin.
"Bastard! Klibu!" The man plunged into the swamp, his body actually turning into a mass of mud as he raced toward the splashing Banana Crocodiles and vanished.
"A Swamp-Swamp Fruit user? Wet-Hair Caribou?" Miming remembered him. Now he understood why they had chosen to attack in a swamp.
"Where's Deadwood?" asked a skinny little man wearing glasses.
"You're Galdino? The Wax-Wax Fruit user?" Miming took a closer look. Yes, this was him. His hair was arranged in a few sleek little braids, and he wore a striped shirt and overalls, looking every inch a schemer. Most amusing of all, the braid sticking straight up from the top of his head was burning like a candlewick.
