Rushing for Time, Heading to the Next Set
Silver Wolf looked at the Forest Moon God before her and remained silent for a few seconds.
When did you get together with Elio?
The Forest Moon God did not answer immediately. He stood up, stepped past the Silver Wolf, and looked at Daiya behind her. "The War of Fantasy."
The voice came from deep within the shadows of the trees, "Back then, it emerged from the pitch-black Abyss."
Silver Wolf raised her hand, and a chair appeared out of thin air behind her. She sat down and casually asked:
"Then what was the ending that Elio just showed you?"
The Forest Moon God seemed to find this action interesting, and He also raised His hand, and tree roots slowly grew from the ground, weaving into a rough wooden chair.
Another chair appeared behind Daiya at the same time. Daiya was stunned for a moment, then carefully sat down.
The Forest Moon God then spoke, "An ending concerning the world and the game: the gods have fallen, the players have disappeared, the Abyss has invaded the players' homes, and thus the Abyss will also come to an end."
Silver Wolf raised an eyebrow. "Is this what you saw in the [Script]? Or what you just witnessed?"
"This is the [Script] I have seen." The Forest Moon God looked at her.
Silver Wolf smiled, understanding what he meant.
What's not written in the Script is what's important.
"Okay, I understand."
Silver Wolf stood up and glanced down at Block A, which hovered quietly next to the data interface.
The once almost blank outline has now taken shape, but it still seems a little short of being truly complete.
Silver Wolf glanced at the time.
"It's 12:34..."
She looked up; Windchaser, the Vernacular Poet, and the Sunken Crow were still lying not far away.
The three of them were all sleeping soundly.
He showed absolutely no sign of waking up.
Silver Wolf looked at Daiya, "Daiya."
"Um?"
"Could you look after them for me?" Silver Wolf pointed to the three people on the ground. "When they wake up, tell them I have to go. Contact me directly if they need anything."
Daiya immediately stood up. "Okay!" She even gave a subconscious salute. "I guarantee I'll complete the mission!"
Silver Wolf glanced at her. "There's no need to be so serious."
After she finished speaking, she turned around, and blue pixelated light gently lit up at her feet.
Her figure vanished into the realm of the gods.
12:30.
Yanlin White Tower glanced at the stopwatch in his hand. He had been waiting in the Tavern's private room for some time.
The tea on the table was changed once, but the communication interface still didn't light up.
Yanlin White Tower didn't urge him, but continued to deal with the matters at hand.
Meanwhile, news kept coming from the Gray Court Department.
Since the guild leader confirmed last night that the top-ranked player had officially become involved in this main storyline, the Platinum Courtyard has begun to reorganize relevant information.
His/her real identity is unknown.
Last night, they confirmed something even more troublesome—this person needed to be won over.
If you can't win him over... at least try to get him to talk.
Yanlin White Tower.
"I never imagined that playing a game would actually become a matter of world survival. Isn't this taking things a bit too far...?"
As he spoke, he glanced at the communication interface again.
"But... what's Silver Wolf busy with? He's not even checking his messages?"
Yanlin White Tower looked at the interface, which still showed no messages, and continued to give instructions to the others.
He propped his cheek up with his hand, looking somewhat bored, until—
A new intelligence report popped up.
Griffin secretly returned to Ostorli by noon.
[Preliminary assessment: Someone has revealed your whereabouts.]
"Damn..." Yanlin White Tower's casual expression vanished instantly. He sat up straight, his gaze immediately falling on the door of the private room. "That girl wouldn't be that stupid... Could it be someone else?"
A blue pixel light suddenly flashed in the center of the room.
Yanlin White Tower instinctively reached for his weapon.
The next second.
Silver Wolf stepped out of the pixelated light. "What other people?"
The Silver Wolf appeared in front of him suddenly.
Yanlin White Tower was startled and quickly told Silver Wolf about his discovery.
After listening, Silver Wolf said, "No need to worry about it. Let's finish this quickly. Even if Griffin really has someone backing him, let's make him tell us."
"Okay." Yanlin White Tower nodded, then relayed the message to Avela via runes.
Not long after.
The door to the private room was pushed open again.
Avela walked in; she was clearly disguised.
He changed his clothes into rough linen and wore an inconspicuous linen hat, looking like an ordinary commoner.
The first thing she said when she came in was, "How could Griffin have already arrived?"
Yanlin White Tower. "My people told me."
"But I didn't receive any notification..."
Silver Wolf waved his hand, signaling everyone to be quiet. "It's simple. Play your cards right in front of him, then you make direct contact with him. I'll bring... Tadah directly to your side."
"This..." Avela felt that this was not a plan at all, but rather a complete disaster.
Yanlin White Tower, "I think it's feasible."
Silver Wolf nodded. "Thank you for your help, Avela. Remember, don't get too close. Just make sure you see him."
Then Silver Wolf handed over a peculiar little Silver Wolf doll.
It even opened its mouth and said, "Hello, please support Wolf Venerable: Everything is dedicated to the Elation Team."
Ignoring the doll's strange words, Avela put it back in her pouch. "I hope it didn't say anything weird back then."
"Won't."
"Good!"
Avela then quickly left the area.
After the other person left, Silver Wolf looked at Yanlin White Tower and asked, "What's wrong? You look so worried."
Yanlin White Tower gave an awkward laugh, "This..."
"Just a moment ago he looked so confident, like he had everything under control."
Yanlin White Tower, finally uttering, "This... I never imagined it would be related to the survival of the world."
"Hmm?" Silver Wolf asked, puzzled. "What? Didn't your guild leader tell you this on the first day?"
Yanlin White Tower began to answer, "No, it's mainly because the president and the Federation had a frank discussion about cooperation last night."
"Oh?"
Yanlin White Tower continued, "The Federation told us that the real-world coordinates of the number one ranking are wrong. The Federation had previously tried to investigate, but couldn't find any such person."
"Could it be... a local?"
Yanlin White Tower shook his head, "No... the Federation said this person has been missing for almost nine months, which roughly coincides with the server launch time..."
Wow, there's even a costume segment?
Yanlin White Tower: "More or less..."
Silver Wolf didn't hold back any information. "Phanes said before that the Bone-Eroding Serpent, also known as the number one, is one of His people. Perhaps the one you're investigating is just a coincidence?"
Yanlin White Tower: "Is that so?"
Neither side continued to discuss the topic of who was number one.
After all, without any clues, further discussion is just a waste of time.
Silver Wolf lay down on the sofa. He had just come from the moon and had been busy with the relics these past few days.
Now that I finally have a little time, I've decided to play for a while.
Silver Wolf pulled out his game console and began his single-player adventure.
Oh dear, Wolf Venerable is so busy, just like the raccoon in Two-Phase Paradise!
