Yuanshi: Law Dao? Can it compare to the Three Corpses Severing Method taught by Master?
After Tongtian and Nuwa became disciples, they did not leave.
After Li Yi finished explaining the relatively easy-to-understand Law Dao, he turned to explaining the Formation Dao.
He was a Formation Master to begin with. Over the years of closed-door cultivation and study, he had created the Twenty-Four Star Lodge Killing Formation on his own, and had also comprehended the Innate Five Direction Formation and the peerless Immortal-Slaying Formation Diagram. His attainments in formations had reached the realm of a Formation Grandmaster!
After only a little explanation, delighted expressions appeared on the faces of the people below, and they listened closely to the Formation Dao Li Yi described.
Of course, although Li Yi's explanation was simple, the initial, simpler parts were manageable. But when he moved on to the more profound material, few in the crowd could keep up.
Houtu was one of the few who could.
Formations were among the most terrifying means of slaughter in the Primordial World. The Witch Tribe did not cultivate their Primordial Spirits, and over the years, they had devoted considerable study to formations.

As for the other paths, such as Three Corpses Severing and Law Dao, they were even harder.

"We respectfully see off the Heaven-Earth Dao Ancestor!"
After hearing the Dao twice, those who had listened to Li Yi were utterly convinced of him. They believed the title of Dao Ancestor was his by Heavenly Mandate!
After maintaining their respectful bows for three breaths, the people below finally departed.

Tongtian had just returned to the Daoist Abode when Yuanshi and Laozi, having received the news, hurried over to see him.
As soon as they entered the Cave Abode, they looked at Tongtian, whose aura seemed ordinary, then thought of how they themselves had already broken through to the Quasi-Saint realm. Laozi's expression remained calm, but his heart had long since begun to soar. He feigned a pained expression, furrowed his brows, and reproached him in a low voice.
"I told you to go with us to the Purple Cloud Palace and listen to Dao Ancestor Hongjun explain the Primordial Unity Dao."
"But you insisted on going your own way and heading to Yingzhou Island to hear that Heaven-Earth Daoist lecture. Third Brother, do you know what kind of opportunity you missed?"
Yuanshi sneered and chimed in from the side.
"Do you know that Big Brother and I have been accepted as direct disciples by Dao Ancestor Hongjun? Big Brother has already calculated that the Future Sage Position is destined to fall here!"
"You didn't go, and Dao Ancestor Hongjun didn't ask about you again. Do you know that what you missed was not only the Primordial Unity Dao personally taught by the Dao Ancestor, but also the tremendous Karma of becoming a Sage's direct disciple and securing a Future Sage Position?"
Hearing their words, Tongtian remained calm. He merely raised his brows slightly, without a ripple stirring in his heart.
"Big Brother, Second Brother, you're making too much of it."
"Though I did not hear the Primordial Unity Dao from Dao Ancestor Hongjun, I heard his Primordial Unity Dao from my Master."
Yuanshi instinctively furrowed his brows at that. That Daoist knew the Primordial Unity Dao too? That made sense. Since he had attained the Quasi-Saint realm that Master had mentioned, he naturally understood something of it.
But his realm was inferior to Master's. Naturally, his explanation of the Primordial Unity Dao could not compare to Master's...
Just as the thought passed through his mind, Yuanshi belatedly realized something.
Wait, what had Third Brother called that Daoist? Master?
In this era, that was not a title one could use casually. Even after hearing someone's Dao, one could at most call them a teacher. How could anyone call them Master?
Perhaps sensing the gazes of his own Big Brother and Second Brother, Tongtian said seriously,
"I have already bowed to the Heaven-Earth Dao Ancestor as my Master on Penglai Island. Thanks to my Master's great kindness, I have now joined his sect as his first disciple. Big Brother, Second Brother, don't ask me to go listen to Dao Ancestor Hongjun anymore!"
Hearing this, Laozi and Yuanshi were both astonished and regretful, though a strange sense of relief and satisfaction rose in their hearts.
Yuanshi in particular even let a trace of derision appear at the corner of his mouth.
Their own Third Brother had refused to take a born Sage who bore a Sage Position like Hongjun as his Master, and had instead sought out that Wild Heaven-Earth Daoist?
He was simply foolish beyond belief!
Laozi looked at his younger brother regretfully and sighed.
"Third Brother, you... sigh!"
Yuanshi snorted.
"Third Brother pushed away his own Sage Destiny. There's no need for us to stop him."
As he spoke, Yuanshi changed tack and said with a light laugh,
"You say your Master also explained the Quasi-Saint Dao? I wonder what kind of Quasi-Saint Dao he taught."
"Tell us, and we can discuss the Dao together, and properly test this Primordial Unity Dao."
The three of them had always discussed the Dao together. That Heaven-Earth Daoist had lectured to everyone, so his teachings were naturally no secret.
Tongtian hesitated for a moment, but then recalled that his own teacher had also spoken to all the beings of the Primordial World. He simply nodded.
"Very well!"
"But what I understood of the Dao was no more than one or two tenths of what my Master explained."
"If I have misunderstood anything, it is because my comprehension is lacking, not because the Dao my Master taught was shallow."
Hearing this, the sneer on Yuanshi's face grew even deeper.
Wasn't the Three Corpses Severing Method simple? He would not claim to have understood all of it, but he had at least understood five tenths of Dao Ancestor Hongjun's explanation of the Three Corpses Severing Method!
Yet their own Third Brother now said he had understood only one or two tenths? The Primordial Unity Dao was clearly simple and easy to understand, yet he had grasped so little. That showed the Wild Heaven-Earth Daoist himself did not understand much of it!
"No matter. Go ahead and tell us."
Tongtian nodded, briefly gathered his thoughts, then recounted the Primordial Unity Dao Li Yi had explained.
In this lecture, to make it easier for the beings of the Primordial World to understand, Li Yi had not explained the Dao of Qiankun, which he was naturally gifted in, nor the Yin Yang Dao, Slaughter Dao, or Space Dao he had comprehended.
Instead, he had explained the simplest and easiest-to-understand Dao of the Four Great Elements: Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire.
These four kinds of Laws were among the simplest Dao of the Origin Laws, far less difficult than the Heaven and Earth Law or the Yin-Yang Law. They were relatively easy to understand.
Of course, in the Primordial Unity Dao, Laws could all transform into one another. For example, after Tongtian attained the Quasi-Saint realm through these four basic Laws, he could still comprehend and cultivate other Laws exclusively later on.
Listening to Tongtian describe the Earth-Wind-Water-Fire Laws Dao, Laozi and Yuanshi were instantly dumbfounded.
Wasn't this supposed to be the Primordial Unity Dao? What was this Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire Laws business? Why was this different from the Three Corpses Severing Method their own Master had taught?
