At the camp near the Land of the Moon, Fugaku sat in the Command Headquarters, studying the details of the Kikyō Mountain Treaty.
Jin and Kenichi were there too, helping process intelligence. Reports from the Land of Rivers and the Land of Grass had surged recently.
"Clan Head, are you satisfied with the Kikyō Mountain Treaty? If not, Kenichi and I can go to Sunagakure ourselves and force its senior officials to sign a new one."
Uchiha Jin spoke as though taking Sunagakure would be child's play.
Fugaku did not doubt him. With the strange power of Kenichi's Kamui Space and Jin's speed, assassinating every senior official in Sunagakure would not be difficult.
Sunagakure had few powerful ninja left. Pakura was its mainstay, but Matsudaira had already brought her under Kotoamatsukami's control. She had turned completely toward the Uchiha.
"No need. We still have to show Orochimaru and the Daimyo some respect. Breaking the treaty now would be a slap in the Daimyo's face. It isn't worth it over something so minor.
"Besides, Orochimaru has done a decent job as Hokage so far. There's no need to fall out with him over this."
Jin nodded. "You're right, Clan Head."
"Huh?" Kenichi looked puzzled. "Sunagakure and Iwagakure have suddenly gone to war. The two sides are fighting fiercely in the Land of Birds."
"That shouldn't be happening," Jin said. "Sunagakure should be full of hatred for Konoha right now, not fighting Iwagakure instead. There must be more to it."
Fugaku smiled. "Orochimaru told me about it. He promised Sunagakure a share of the gains from Iwagakure, so naturally they're fighting with everything they have.
"Orochimaru's plan struck right at Sunagakure's weakness. He's grown quite a bit since becoming Hokage."
He handed Jin the plan Orochimaru had sent earlier.
Jin read it
