Kenichi and Matsudaira hurried over.
"Clan Head."
Fugaku smiled and nodded. "How's construction coming along? It's already starting to look like a thriving town.
"It's a world away from what it was before. Not bad. You two have clearly put your hearts into it."
Kenichi smiled. "That's thanks to the clan's support. Without its unconditional backing in manpower and resources, this place would probably still be in ruins.
"The Ninja Academy is built. After a little more preparation, it'll be ready to open.
"The Uchiha's population has surged over the past few years, and Konoha's population has grown substantially too. The Ninja Academy there is almost at capacity.
"The four hundred clan members who moved here all have homes now, and they're much roomier than the ones they had in the Uchiha District.
"After all, both the moon's inner and outer layers are under the clan's control."
Fugaku nodded. "You've done well. Jin and I came today to see what the clan has built on the moon.
"From what I've seen, we can begin a second wave of migration. That should ease some of the pressure on the Uchiha District."
The others nodded. Jin said, "We'll follow your decision, Clan Head."
"Good. Jin, notify the other senior members and have them help you organize the second wave."
They walked on, and rows of densely packed buildings soon came into view.
Drawing on what they had learned from Konoha's expansion, Matsudaira and Kenichi had set aside a vast tract on the moon's surface and begun building according to Konoha's layout.
The planned settlement was much larger, though. For all its size, Konoha was still just one village.
