The arc ended with Shrek excluding Huo Yuhao from its official core disciples and Gu Mingyuan reporting that decision to the cult.

• Gu Mingyuan crossed into the Douluo Continent, gained three system rewards, and arranged for Yu Xiaogang to enter Huo Yuhao’s Sea of Spirit as Huo Yuhao sought his first Soul Ring.
• Huo Yuhao gained Sky Dream Ice Silkworm as a Million-Year Soul Ring, while Gu Mingyuan met Tang Ya and Bei Bei and later joined their group in hunting Soul Rings.

• Gu Mingyuan helped defeat Ma Xiaotao in the reserve-team selection fight, became reserve-team captain, and joined the Shrek Supervisory Group.

Gu Mingyuan vanished from Shrek’s protection and entered the Holy Spirit Cult, where he won the title of Heavenly Demon Holy Son and gained powerful new abilities. Meanwhile, Huo Yuhao traveled to the Sun Moon Empire, where he encountered Tang Ya but could not bring her back to him.

• Gu Mingyuan won the tournament for Shrek Academy, then vanished during Du Busi’s ambush after the Holy Spirit Cult used his mark to transport him away.
• At the Holy Spirit Cult’s Main Altar, Zhongli Wu recruited Gu Mingyuan and set him on a path toward the Holy Son title, while Gu Mingyuan exposed Tang San’s history to Tang Ya.
• Shrek’s elders confirmed Yu Xiaogang’s identity, made Huo Yuhao a core disciple, and arranged an exchange that sent him to the Sun Moon Empire.
• Gu Mingyuan proved he could control a Beast Soul and used a remnant of the Nether Swamp Wolf Emperor’s soul to obtain its hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring.
