History
Qiu Jinyou and Lan Yezhou were engaged as children. She regarded him as her future cultivation partner and regularly shared resources with him. After hearing Wen Que’s thoughts warn that Lan intended to kill her to advance his Heartless Sword Art, Qiu invited Wen Que to the family home. She still hoped the warning was wrong, but asked her mother to investigate 5 6.
Madam Qiu confirmed which art Lan practiced. Jinyou then recalled an old rumor that its practitioners killed their wives to prove their Dao. She came to suspect that her engagement had made her the intended sacrifice, and the planned wedding was delayed 6 9.
Jinyou later drove a sword into Lan, escaping his plan to use her life for his advancement and her blood to consecrate his sword. After emerging from seclusion as a Golden Core cultivator, she returned to Endless Peak and began supervising Wen Que’s cultivation daily 23 24.
