People passing by even turned back to look at them, whispering among themselves.

The two exchanged a glance. Shen Luoluo spread her hands and hurried to explain, "Class Monitor, it wasn't me. I really didn't tell anyone about you."

"I know." Song Qinghe adjusted his glasses. "They're looking at you, not me."

Shen Luoluo: ?

"Don't tell me you still don't know. Someone posted about you on the forum last night, and the post stayed up all night."

◎Why is this sweetheart a guy?◎

The forum Song Qinghe meant was a discussion platform in the school's own app. Much like an online message board, it let students post, reply, and interact. It was also the most direct place for everyone at school to communicate.

Shen Luoluo had only just transferred in, so she genuinely hadn't known about it. She opened the app and found a post about her on the forum's front page. It already had over a thousand replies.

The title was brutally blunt: [How did Shen Luoluo get into Rocket Class with grades like these? When is she going back to her hometown in the countryside?!]

The original post said little, displaying only two photos. One showed Shen Luoluo's final exam report card.

Out of a possible seven hundred-plus points, she had scored only a little over three hundred. She hadn't passed any of the three main subjects—Chinese, math, or English—let alone the others.

The other photo showed her covered in dirt.

In it, she wore a padded jacket so filthy its original color was impossible to make out. Her hair was a mess, and her face was dark and sallow, as though she had just crawled out of the mud. A bamboo basket hung on her back, mud stained her black pants, and her worn cloth shoes had holes that exposed her big toes. She looked every inch a country bumpkin.

Although this was an anonymous section, people usually kept their posts vague and indirect. Few named someone outright, so the post immediately drew a crowd.

1L: Whoa. How much does the OP hate her to name her outright? Respect!

2L: Holy crap. I don't know her, but that look is painfully tacky!

3L: Isn't Shen Luoluo the illegitimate daughter the Shen Family just found? I heard they brought her back from the countryside, but I never imagined she'd look this rustic! Truly one of a kind!

11L: What are those grades? Someone near the bottom of the whole school got into Rocket Class? Rocket Class is doomed!

12L: What's going on? Can just any random nobody get into Rocket Class now? Letting someone like her in is an insult to everyone there who worked hard to study and pass the exams!

395L: Come on, don't be mad. She has connections with a school board member. She can get into any class she wants, and there's nothing you can do about it~

493L: Nobody's mad. Who gives a damn? So what if connections got her in? She'll still get kicked out after the monthly exam!

Interest in the post had already started to fade when someone added another picture to the thread.

It showed Qi Yang and Shen Luoluo sitting at the same desk in class.

Qi Yang was already a campus celebrity. He was handsome, wealthy, and did well in school. He had held a spot on the campus heartthrob rankings for years. Countless girls liked him, and plenty had confessed to him. His temper, however, was another matter. He never spared anyone's feelings, and he had made more than a few people cry with his sharp tongue.

None of that stopped the girls who liked him from flocking to him. They had even reached a consensus: as long as he didn't have a girlfriend, he belonged equally to every one of them!

Now someone was sitting beside the boy none of them could get close to. Everyone lost their composure.

615L: Fuck! What gives that hick the right to sit with Qi Yang? As if she deserves it!

626L: Aaaah! Get out, country girl! Get out of Rocket Class! Don't sit with Qi Yang! Waaaah, she's tainted him!

Replies poured in, and the thread shot from a few hundred comments to several thousand.

A single post had made Shen Luoluo famous throughout the school.

Shen Jiayan was reading it too.

He had barely entered the classroom when Duan Yixing and Lu Yanze crowded around him. "Someone posted about your sister on the forum!"

He quickly opened the forum, growing angrier the more he read. What did they mean, she didn't deserve it? If his sister didn't, did those people?!

What a bunch of fucking idiots!

"Brother Yan, where do you think the OP got these pictures?" Duan Yixing asked. "You can tell they're old. Someone dug up photos from ages ago, then posted them anonymously on the forum..."

"Exactly!" Lu Yanze immediately agreed. "It really feels like someone's deliberately targeting your sister!"

Anonymous, huh?

Shen Jiayan sneered. Did they really think anonymity would stop him from finding out who they were?

Just wait. Shen Jiayan forwarded the post to Shen Jingyao.

The post spread throughout the school and became the hot topic between classes.

The moment the bell rang, several girls gathered around Shen Anya's desk.

"Anya, is that country girl on the forum really your sister?! Oh my god, she's so ugly!"

"Of course she is! Her name's right there on the report card. But honestly, she looks so awful in that photo I couldn't even recognize her!"

"Did that little country bumpkin think she'd become a princess just because the Shen Family took her in? With grades like those, she still had the nerve to use connections to get into Rocket Class? Who does she think she is?!"

"Stop it, all of you!" Shen Anya put on a stern face, pretending to be angry. "Luoluo's already upset that someone posted her photo online, and I feel terrible too. If you keep talking about my sister like that in front of me, I won't be polite!"
