Background and History

Huo Yuhao is Huo Yun’er’s son and Song Que’s cousin. The White Tiger Duke’s wife identifies Dai Hao as his father and orders attacks against Yuhao because she fears Dai Hao learning of his existence 3 18.

At Shrek Academy, Yuhao conceals his Ultimate Ice martial soul at Song Que’s urging. After the academy declines to act on an attack against him and Wang Dong, he becomes disillusioned with its treatment of students it considers less valuable. He chooses to withdraw with Song Que, despite the training resources he would leave behind 1 2 3.

Yuhao travels with Song Que and Tang Ya to reclaim the Tang Sect’s former headquarters. During the raid on the Ironblood Sect, he challenges Princess Vena’s account of the attack as lawbreaking, pointing to the authorities’ failure to intervene when the Ironblood Sect massacred the Tang Sect’s defenders 11 12.

After Body Sect vice sect master Jinpeng tries to take him by force, Song Que negotiates a different arrangement: Yuhao becomes Du Busi’s disciple while remaining free to travel with his companions. He later competes for Just Sky Academy, where his public display of Ultimate Ice prompts Shrek’s Xuan Zi to try to reclaim him. Du Busi intervenes on Yuhao’s behalf 13 15 18 23.

Appearance

Yuhao’s youthful face draws attention when he enters the tournament arena alongside Wang Dong 22.

Personality

Yuhao is loyal to Song Que, whom he calls his cousin and only family, but his decision to leave Shrek is his own. He rejects the prospect of becoming more indebted to an academy he no longer trusts 1 2.

He can remain composed when confronted or provoked: he answers Vena’s accusation during the Ironblood Sect raid with an account of the Tang Sect’s losses, and does not rise to Dai Huabin’s taunts before the tournament 12 21. He is also willing to commit to the Body Sect’s future while making clear that he and Song Que have personal matters to settle first 34.
