Testing the Life Evergreen Vine Spirit

Village chief Old Jack smiled.

"Master Su, which two children awakened those spirits?"

Su Yuntao said, "The two behind me, Lin Hao and Tang San. As for which one awakened the Mutated Long-Blade Spirit and which one awakened Blue Silver Grass, you can ask them yourself."

"It's getting late, so I'll be off. I still have children in five other villages whose spirits need awakening today."

Su Yuntao set off. Behind him, Lin Hao and Tang San waved together.

"Goodbye, Uncle Tao."

After watching Master Su leave, Old Jack gave Tang San and Lin Hao a kindly smile.

"Little Hao, Little San, which of you awakened the mutated long-blade spirit, and which of you awakened Blue Silver Grass?"

"Grandpa Jack, I awakened the Mutated Long-Blade Spirit. I named it the Heavenly Blade."

"Grandpa Jack, I awakened Blue Silver Grass."

Lin Hao and Tang San answered eagerly.

Old Jack praised them both.

"Come on, I'll take you two home. I also have something to discuss with Little San's father."

Lin Hao and Tang San both lived on the west side of Holy Soul Village. Their homes were only about a hundred and fifty meters apart.

Once Lin Hao realized Tang San might be the original Tang San, all the plans he had made to deal with the Tang San from Shushan went out the window.

Besides, the starter gift pack from the system had given him the Life Evergreen Vine, a demigod-level spirit with the ultimate life attribute.

The Life Evergreen Vine Spirit naturally suppressed all plant- and life-type spirits, including the Blue Silver Emperor.

And the original Tang San had a good personality. He was lively and cheerful, without any of the Shushan Tang San's habit of declaring that others were courting death or holding them to double standards.

So Lin Hao and Tang San had gradually become good friends.

Because of that, Lin Hao had also eaten plenty of the Soul Beast meat Tang Hao prepared for Tang San.

As the saying went, it was hard to speak against someone who fed you.

Without another soul taking over his body, Tang San was a blank slate. Lin Hao had played with him for years and eaten plenty of his family's Soul Beast meat, so he decided to steer Tang San in a better direction.

As for Tang San's original teacher, Yu Xiaogang, he was a nobody.

By rights, Tang Hao had to know Ah Yin's Soul Skill configuration and how to cultivate the Blue Silver Emperor.

Yet he had still let the Shushan Tang San follow Yu Xiaogang's advice and absorb a Mandala Snake over four hundred years old as his first Soul Ring.

Lin Hao's guess was that once Tang Hao suspected something had taken over his son's body, he had given up on him.

Only after the Shushan Tang San awakened Twin Martial Souls and offered a chance to take revenge on Spirit Hall had Tang Hao begun treating him as a tool for that revenge.

If the Blue Silver Grass Spirit was ruined, so be it. As long as the Shushan Tang San's Clear Sky Hammer Spirit gained nothing but Soul Rings over ten thousand years old and could help him take revenge, that was enough.

But the tool had grown stronger far faster than expected, and the possibility of reviving Ah Yin had emerged. Tang Hao had gone along with it and continued playing the good father to Tang San.

Now, though, Tang San was Tang Hao's son through and through. Of course Tang Hao cared for him. Lin Hao even envied the depth of that fatherly love.

Besides regularly feeding him Soul Beast meat, Tang Hao had Tang San soak in a medicinal bath every few days. It had to be made from a formula the Clear Sky Sect had refined over generations.

Perhaps because Lin Hao was such good friends with Tang San, he had benefited too, soaking in it twice. Paired with his [Unobstructed Meridians] trait, which sped up absorption, the baths had worked remarkably well.

After all those years together, Lin Hao simply could not turn against Tang San and Tang Hao now.

Back home, Lin Hao called up his trait panel.

[The Trait Panel], for example, could record his information, but it was nothing like [Heaven Rewards Hard Work].

It merely recorded and displayed his information. It did nothing else.

[Unobstructed Meridians]: If Soul Power flowed through an ordinary Soul Master's meridians like water through a pipe, it flowed through Lin Hao's like water through a bucket-sized channel.

[Bottomless Stomach]: An ordinary person could digest only thirty percent of the energy in the food they ate. With this trait, Lin Hao could digest eighty percent.

[Natural Fragrance]: Slightly increased his appeal to the opposite sex.

[Wild Imagination]: Having lived through the information explosion on Blue Star in his previous life, his thinking was unconventional and full of unusual ideas.

[Two Lives]: Living two lives had made his soul and mental strength naturally greater than other people's.

Lin Hao looked at the six talent traits on his panel and nodded in satisfaction.

Then his gaze moved to the domain listed there: Evergreen Life Domain.

He summoned his Life Evergreen Vine Spirit. Before he even activated the Evergreen Life Domain, the spirit passed information about it to him.

Lin Hao had long suspected that a demigod-level spirit like the Life Evergreen Vine would have a domain, and that its effects would be powerful.

He had not expected its abilities to be this powerful.

Evergreen Life Domain: Within the domain, Lin Hao could heal injuries and even regrow severed limbs.

It could also dispel most negative conditions, including poisons, curses, mental control, and energy corrosion, and it countered evil and dark-aligned forces.

While healing a target, it could grant them the Life's Praise effect, slightly increasing all their attributes for a short time and continuously restoring a small amount of vitality.

After reviewing the Evergreen Life Domain's abilities, Lin Hao could only marvel at the domain of a demigod-level spirit with the ultimate life attribute. It was absurdly powerful.

He put away the Life Evergreen Vine Spirit, summoned the Heavenly Blade Spirit, and gripped it.

The Heavenly Blade in his hand closely resembled a Black Heavy Ruler. It was seven feet long, one foot and two inches wide, and three inches thick.

By Lin Hao's estimate, it weighed at least seven hundred jin.

It was both a sharp weapon and a blunt one.

Against a spirit like that, a graze would wound and a solid hit would kill.
