Qian Daoliu sat in the seat of honor, his hands resting on the armrests and his eyes closed. No one knew what he was thinking.
Qian Xunji and Bibi Dong stood on either side of him, neither saying a word.
Only after ten minutes or so did Qian Daoliu open his eyes. "Ji'er, what do you think?"
Qian Xunji slapped his thigh in fury. "The Sea God has gone too far! Bullying our Angel God's successor! Should we find Sea God Island and destroy it before things reach that point?"
Bibi Dong slapped her forehead helplessly. "Teacher, with Spirit Hall's current strength, we could indeed destroy Sea God Island if we committed two-thirds of our forces."
"But none of us can be certain whether the Sea God in the Divine Realm would descend to intervene."
"We may be powerful on the continent, but we're still nowhere near strong enough to oppose a deity."
Qian Daoliu nodded. "Ji'er, your disciple is right. Considering how shamelessly this Sea God interfered with the Angel God's trial, he wouldn't simply stand by and watch someone destroy the godhood inheritance he left behind."
Bibi Dong spoke up then. "Grand Worshipper, Teacher, we could actually look at this from the other direction. Since Tang San, someone from the continent, could inherit the godhood of the Sea God, a god from overseas, that means the Sea God doesn't mind whether his successor comes from his island. To put it plainly, he cares about talent."
"In that case, Spirit Hall could also send people to Sea God Island to receive his divine position."
Qian Xunji said, "It's a good idea, but deities probably place tremendous importance on their successors' talent. An ordinary genius with innate full soul power might not even catch the Sea God's eye."
