Background / History

Tang Hao’s wife, Ah Yin, sacrificed herself during a conflict with Spirit Hall. Tang Hao mortally wounded Pope Qian Xunji afterward; under pressure from Spirit Hall, the Clear Sky Sect expelled him and withdrew from the world 135. He lived in seclusion while Tang San, his son, grew up knowing little about his past 65 94.

Tang Hao watched Tang San’s entrance assessment at Shrek Academy. Although Qin Yun defeated and injured his son, Tang Hao declined to attack a younger opponent or jeopardize Tang San’s training under Flender. He privately visited Flender before leaving 6.

When Qin Yun and Sword Douluo Chen Xin entered the cave where Tang Hao kept the Blue Silver Emperor, Tang Hao attacked to reclaim Ah Yin and her Soul Bone. His old injuries hampered him against Chen Xin, and Qin Yun’s repeated Uranium Crystal explosions left him gravely wounded and forced him to flee 46 47. Tang Hao later attacked Qin Yun at Shrek Academy despite those injuries. After another explosive clash, he escaped with Tang San, leaving Xiao Wu behind 56 59.

Tang Hao took Tang San into the mountains to recover and train. He urged his son to become strong enough to reclaim Xiao Wu and face their family’s enemies 65 66. Months later, news of Tai Tan’s and Bai He’s deaths led him to suspect a scheme against the Clear Sky Sect 92 93. He reunited with his elder brother Tang Xiao, but their encounter with Qin Yun’s group became a three-front battle 94 97. After Tang Xiao was killed and Tang San gravely wounded, Tang Hao detonated all nine of his Soul Rings for a final strike. Chen Xin overcame it, and Tang Hao died 98 99.

Appearance

Tang Hao has a broad, burly build and, during his years in hiding, a worn appearance 6 56.

Personality

Tang Hao initially restrains his anger for Tang San’s sake, treating Qin Yun as a rival his son might one day surpass rather than retaliating for their first fight 6. Threats to Ah Yin, however, bring out his possessiveness and rage: he refuses Qin Yun’s criticism of how he has cared for her and attacks to take her back 46.

Even while severely injured, Tang Hao prioritizes getting Tang San to safety and later commits himself to training him 58 65 66. He withholds the details of his past from his son, saying Tang San is not yet ready to hear them 65.

Clear Sky Hammer

Tang Hao’s Martial Soul specializes in overwhelming force; his favored attacks rely on heavy, direct blows 46.
