The Horn of Apokolips
The mechanical left arm swung out suddenly, slamming heavily onto the control panel.
The burned-out module was forcibly taken over and restarted by the Mother Box computing power within his body.
"Energy readings for Atlantis and Themyscira..." Victor's left eye, glowing red, was fixed on the projected Earth model. "It exploded!"
The image above the holographic projection table changes instantly.
Deep in the Atlantic Ocean.
A fierce wind howled, and dark clouds loomed overhead.
The once calm sea surface now seemed to have been completely torn apart by some terrifying force.
A wall of water hundreds of meters high shot into the sky, forming an apocalyptic tsunami that swept everything away.
At the epicenter of the tsunami, the seawater was forcibly pushed aside, revealing a huge vacuum zone.
A pitch-black spatial rift is slowly tearing open deep within the ocean.
The edge of the rift flashed with violent purple lightning, connecting to an unknown cosmic abyss.
"What's that...?" Barry dropped the potato chips in his hand.
Arthur shoved Victor away and lunged at the holographic projection table.
His eyes were bloodshot as he stared intently at the seabed fissure.
"Atlantis ..." Arthur's voice trembled.
"They're here." Hal collapsed, exhausted, beside the Medical Pod, and closed his eyes.
Atlantis' outer defensive array.
The holographic projection zoomed in, piercing through the raging tsunami and reaching the seabed.
The Royal Guard of Atlantis has completed its assembly.
Tens of thousands of Atlantis soldiers, clad in streamlined deep-sea armor Plasma Underwater Rifle, rode enormous Armored Seahorse and Tactical Frenzy Shark, arrayed at the forefront of the underwater city.
The main guns of the twelve heavy underwater cruisers were fully charged, and the dark blue energy beams stretched across the deep sea.
What they faced was that ever-expanding, pitch-black rift.
"Boom!"
No warnings, no negotiations.
A deafening roar erupted from the fissure, shattering the seawater. The Sonic Boom Tunnel was completely blasted open.
The high temperature instantly evaporated millions of tons of seawater around the channel, forming large areas of boiling bubbles.
Immediately afterwards, a dense swarm of dark figures poured out of the passage.
The Parademons.
They have ugly membranous wings, thick limbs, and eyes that gleam with a bloodthirsty red light.
They were perfectly adapted to the high pressure of the deep sea, and began indiscriminately firing their Apokolips Energy Rifle.
The massacre began instantly.
When Atlantis ' plasma beam struck the Parademons, it only left a few charred marks.
However, the energy weapons of the Parademons could easily tear apart the deep-sea armor of the Atlantis soldiers.
The seawater was instantly stained red with blood.
A deep-sea cruiser attempts to ram Parademons.
Just then, a huge figure slowly emerged from the depths of the passage.
Steppenwolf.
Standing over three meters tall, its entire body is covered in heavy armor with metal spikes.
He wore his signature horned helmet and carried a massive Battle Axe that exuded an aura of Destruction.
He didn't even glance at the cruiser charging towards him.
Steppenwolf raised his Battle Axe with one hand and swung it down from a distance of over a hundred meters.
The axe blade sliced through the seawater.
A solidified red energy blade roared out, cleaving the heavy cruiser in two. The broken hull exploded violently, the flames illuminating the deep sea.
"No!!!"
Inside the Batcave, Arthur let out a beast-like roar.
He grabbed the Trident and turned to rush out.
"I'm going back to kill that bastard!" Arthur's eyes were bloodshot, and his reason completely collapsed.
Bruce lunged forward and grabbed Arthur's shoulders with both hands.
"Going back now is suicide!" Bruce shouted.
"That's my compatriot!" Arthur suddenly exerted his strength, sending Bruce flying.
Bruce slammed heavily against the edge of the control panel, letting out a muffled groan.
Arthur continued charging outwards.
A red afterimage flashed by.
Barry Allen stood in front of Arthur, unleashing his Speed Force, and pressed his hands against Arthur's chest, trying to push him back.
"Dude, calm down! You can't take on that army by yourself!" Smoke rose from the ground beneath Barry's feet due to the high-speed friction.
Arthur was forced to stop by Barry.
He was breathing heavily, staring intently at the holographic projection.
In the scene, Steppenwolf has broken through the defensive array.
He moved with impunity, each swing of his heavy Battle Axe claiming the lives of hundreds or even thousands of Atlantis soldiers.
Those elite guards who were invincible in the deep sea were as fragile as paper in the face of Apokolips ' advanced technology and absolute physical strength.
Steppenwolf strode into the main city of Atlantis, stepping over the corpses scattered on the ground.
He stopped in front of the throne room.
Kick him out.
The heavy alloy door collapsed with a crash.
Steppenwolf walked up the steps and shattered the throne that symbolized the power of Atlantis with one foot.
Beneath the throne, a hidden chamber was revealed.
A dark silver cube floated silently in the center of the secret room, its surface shimmering with red light patterns.
Atlantean Mother Box.
Steppenwolf stretched out its enormous hand and roughly yanked the Mother Box out.
The moment the Mother Box was touched, a powerful energy shockwave erupted.
The shockwave didn't harm the Steppenwolf in the slightest, but it spread outwards, leveling half of the underwater city of Atlantis.
Countless ancient buildings collapsed, burying the surviving soldiers.
Steppenwolf hung the Mother Box on his waist.
He stood atop the ruins and took a deep breath.
"I smell it." Steppenwolf's voice was intercepted by Victor through the energy fluctuations of the Mother Box and played synchronously inside the Batcave.
The voice was deep and hoarse, filled with boundless greed.
"The smell of the second box." Steppenwolf turned his head and looked in a certain direction on the sea.
Inside the Batcave.
Diana's face turned deathly pale instantly.
The Lasso of Truth at her waist suddenly burst forth with a blinding golden light, its temperature rising sharply until it became scalding hot.
This is a resonant alarm indicating that the magic array on Themyscira has suffered Destruction blow.
Diana suddenly looked up at the holographic projection.
"He's going to Themyscira!" Diana drew her Magic-Breaker Dagger, her voice filled with barely concealed terror.
The Lasso of Truth at his waist burst forth with blinding golden light, and the temperature rose sharply.
"Victor, open the door!" Diana drew her Magic-Breaker Dagger and turned to rush toward Steel Bone, who was standing in the shadows.
Victor did not hesitate.
The eerie blue electricity on the left side of his mechanical body instantly turned into a blinding red light.
The energy core at the center of his chest emitted a deafening engine roar.
He raised his mechanical left arm, palm facing the open space in the center of the Batcave.
The Mother Box's computing power forcibly intervenes in the laws of space.
"Boom!"
A Sonic Boom Tunnel exploded in the air.
The edge of the passage crackled with violent purple lightning, connecting it to Themyscira thousands of kilometers away.
Diana used her legs to propel herself into the passageway.
The sea breeze, carrying a strong stench of blood, swept over me.
Diana landed on her feet, and the sight before her made her breath catch in her throat.
