Background / History

Bruce protects Gotham as Batman. He and Clark Kent previously agreed to stay out of each other’s territory after an unpleasant encounter; Clark upheld that agreement until Chu Men’s killings and Superman-like powers drew him to Gotham 8.

Bruce investigates the Arkham massacre and initially considers Superman a suspect because witnesses describe red beams from the killer’s eyes. After observing Chu Men withstand police gunfire and crush armored vehicles, he concludes that Gotham’s conventional forces cannot stop him 4 7.

Appearance

Bruce wears black armor, a pointed-eared cowl and a bat-shaped cape as Batman 2 10.

Personality

Bruce is methodical and unwilling to abandon Gotham even when his preparations fail. He is blunt with Clark about how concern for bystanders affected their fight, but risks himself to rescue him 21 27.
