Guess How Many Seconds I Need to Destroy This Place
The words had barely left his mouth.
Bang!
The entire conference room suddenly shook.
There was no warning whatsoever.
Lin Mo simply lifted one foot lightly and then stepped back onto the ground.
But the alloy floor beneath his feet, strong enough to withstand the impact of heavy equipment, collapsed instantly like a piece of paper.
The cracks spread wildly outwards from his feet, causing the walls to shake, the lights to flicker, and the coffee cup on the table to jump up.
Edgar's pupils suddenly contracted.
The alarm outside immediately went off.
[Warn!]
[Abnormal vibration detected!]
[Warn!]
Lin Mo remained seated without moving.
"Have you always thought that I'm not as good as Joanna?"
Edgar stared intently at him.
"Your test data..."
"That's the data I want you to see."
Lin Mo scoffed and interrupted him directly.
The next second.
His eyes slowly glowed with a red light, condensed yet intense, like two stars compressed to their extreme.
Before Lin Mo could even launch an attack, the metal tabletop in front of him quickly turned red, the surrounding temperature rose sharply, and the air distorted violently under the intense heat.
A crack finally appeared in the calm on Edgar's face.
Faced with a real, tangible threat of death, his expression changed for the first time.
"Lin Mo."
"Calm."
"How?"
Lin Mo's lips curled up slightly.
"Weren't you quite calm just now?"
The words had barely left his mouth.
Buzz--!
Two blazing red beams suddenly shot out from his eyes!
Edgar's pupils contracted sharply as he saw the two beams of light hurtling straight toward his head.
The Heat Vision almost brushed against his scalp.
Just by brushing past him, the terrifying heat sent a burning sensation through his scalp, and he could even smell the burnt odor of a few strands of hair.
Well, I didn't have much hair to begin with, and now it's probably all burned away.
The next second.
Boom!!!
The alloy wall behind them couldn't block them even for a moment.
The steel plate melted through, and the concrete vaporized.
A straight, crimson beam of light pierced through the entire underground research base, causing layer upon layer of protective structures to explode one after another, finally bursting out of the ground and shooting towards the distant horizon.
The entire Bunker shook violently at that moment, and alarms instantly blared all around.
Edgar stood frozen in place.
For the first time, cold sweat broke out on my forehead.
It was just a hair's breadth away; if those two beams had shifted a few centimeters downwards, his head would probably be gone by now.
Lin Mo slowly withdrew his Heat Vision, the red light in his eyes gradually fading.
He glanced at Edgar's bald scalp and felt a strange sense of relief.
I really needed to control myself just now.
With his current Heat Vision intensity, if he were to deviate even slightly, Edgar would probably be roasted alive before he could even scream.
That won't do.
This guy is still useful, killing him would be a waste, but his anger hasn't subsided yet.
"Weren't you so confident just now?"
"Do you think I would consider the consequences, be afraid of Vought? Be afraid of having no identity, afraid of having nowhere to go?"
"I should even thank you for your mercy in upgrading me from a lab animal to a Superhero product."
Boom!
Then, Lin Mo threw a punch.
Vought imprisoned him for eighteen years, drawing blood daily for examinations and tests, and always liked to use him to provoke Joanna.
He'll never forget this debt.
The entire alloy conference table in front of them exploded instantly, and the huge shockwave sent chairs, documents, and screens flying.
Edgar was propelled several meters by the blast wave and slammed hard against the wall.
Fortunately, Lin Mo controlled his power, or rather, he specifically used his Bioelectric Field to protect Edgar and support the foundation; otherwise, the shockwave alone would have been enough to kill Edgar.
The entire conference room might not even have a speck of dust left.
The security personnel outside finally rushed in.
"Don't move!"
"Lin Mo!"
"Stop immediately--"
He hadn't even finished speaking.
Lin Mo vanished, disappearing right before their eyes; in fact, he was so fast they couldn't even catch a glimpse of him.
The next second.
Bang bang bang bang--!
Dozens of armed men were thrown out almost simultaneously.
Guns shattered, human limbs and remains flew everywhere, and the alloy walls were dented by the impacts.
In less than a second, everyone collapsed.
Edgar leaned against the wall and realized a problem clearly for the first time.
They were wrong. They were wrong from the very beginning.
Joanna isn't the most dangerous person in the Bunker; Lin Mo is.
What's even more frightening is that Joanna never hides her emotions.
Lin Mo kept this hidden for a full eighteen years.
Eighteen years.
Lin Mo suddenly spoke, standing at the door of the dilapidated conference room with his back to Edgar.
Do you know how long I've been here?
Edgar did not answer. Although his expression had returned to its usual calm and collected state, his mind was racing, constantly thinking of ways to survive.
"For eighteen years, I had blood drawn, checked, and tested every day."
"On one occasion, you even deliberately hurt Joanna to see if I would lose control."
Lin Mo slowly turned around.
"I've always remembered this debt."
"I didn't touch you before because you'd cause a lot of trouble once you left."
"I need to consider Joanna."
"Do you think I'm really afraid of Vought's pursuit? I just don't want the whole world to know."
"But now..."
Lin Mo smiled.
"I suddenly realized..."
"It's unnecessary."
A very bad premonition suddenly rose in Edgar's heart.
What do you want to do?
Lin Mo looked up and smiled at him, but to Edgar, that smile sent a chill down his spine.
"Guess how many seconds it will take me to destroy this place?"
Super Hearing instantly covered the entire underground research base.
Approaching footsteps, alarms, the clicking of weapons, and the researchers' terrified breathing.
Every sound was crystal clear.
"Settle the accounts."
The words were spoken.
Boom--!!!
The entire ceiling of the conference room exploded instantly.
Lin Mo shot straight into the sky.
Reinforcing steel, concrete, alloy insulation layers, and defensive structures several meters thick were all as fragile as paper in front of him, making no difference whatsoever.
He was like a meteorite falling backwards, forcefully piercing through layer after layer of underground facilities.
Immediately afterwards, the entire Bunker experienced its most terrifying five seconds since its construction.
Lin Mo's figure kept flashing in and out of the corridor.
Laboratories, armories, monitoring centers, sample storage rooms, capability testing areas, and Research Center.
One facility after another was destroyed, and the alloy door was violently smashed open.
Firearms and suppressive equipment were rendered useless by Heat Vision; anyone attempting to attack him didn't even have a chance to pull the trigger.
However, as the Heat Vision swept across the area, the base's power supply system instantly collapsed, and the backup power supply, which had just been activated, was directly damaged.
Explosions came one after another, and the entire underground structure began to shake violently.
The red warning light kept flashing.
The broadcast was completely chaotic.
"Target out of control!"
"All units immediately --"
