Lin Mo tracked Thomas Godolkin to his underground facility, where he uncovered the Odessa Project and rescued Marie before Joanna killed Thomas. After Vought concealed the truth behind a heroic public story, Lin Mo set out with Joanna and Maeve to visit Edgar and search for Original Compound V.

• Lin Mo traced the Original Body’s scent to a hospital and identified Doug as Principal Thomas Godolkin, then flew there with Joanna and Maeve.
• The trio found Thomas in a life-support chamber and discovered newborn Marie Moreau in the underground facility.
• Thomas explained the Odessa Project, revealed that Joanna and Marie were its most successful subjects, and described Vought’s use of Compound V to create most Supes.
• Thomas offered information about Original Compound V but could not provide a sample or its location, and Joanna killed him after Lin Mo declared him no longer useful.
• Lin Mo arranged for Maeve to report the base and Marie to Edgar, while Doug chose to remain Principal of Godolkin University and Vought took custody of the facility and its records.
• Edgar arranged a public account that cast Lin Mo, Joanna, and Maeve as heroes who had defeated a criminal organization and rescued victims, while hiding Thomas and the experiments.
• Lin Mo and Joanna returned to school, where Vought’s story and their new rankings drew attention, and Lin Mo repeated the prepared account in class.
• Lin Mo planned to visit Edgar at Vought headquarters to look for Original Compound V, and Maeve joined him and Joanna after Joanna questioned her motives.

Lin Mo and Joanna confronted Vought over Joanna’s past, then obtained Original Compound V from Clara, who died after Joanna tested a dose. After Maeve gained new powers and Lin Mo grew stronger from the Sun, the Military tried to recruit him and Joanna, but Lin Mo rejected its offer.

• Lin Mo and Joanna met Edgar at Vought, where he named Clara Leisinger as a source of Original Compound V and gave Lin Mo her address.
• Lin Mo, Joanna, and Maeve confronted Clara, who withdrew her offer after Lin Mo refused to support her, so Joanna took the serum by force.
• Joanna injected a dose of Original Compound V, lost control of her Heat Vision, and fatally wounded Clara as Lin Mo secured the remaining vials.
• Maeve injected a dose, gained flight and energy projection, and flew back to Godolkin University alongside Lin Mo and Joanna.
• Lin Mo and Joanna attended a Vought shareholders’ meeting, where Joanna killed executives involved in her childhood training before Lin Mo took her into space.
• Lin Mo traveled to the Sun to absorb energy, while military officers contacted Edgar after satellites recorded him and Joanna in space.
• Lin Mo took Joanna to Xia, then rejected the Military’s recruitment offer when its officers approached them after a month.
• Lin Mo asked Edgar about the Military’s interest, and Edgar explained that it had rejected Vought’s Compound V proposal and had made no agreement on Lin Mo and Joanna’s behalf.

Lin Mo oversaw Vought’s open selection for a new member of The Seven, choosing Annie January as Starlight. The selection was interrupted when A-Train hit Robin, and Lin Mo promised Hughie that she could be treated before taking A-Train to the hospital for questioning.

• Lin Mo learned Lamplighter had retired and announced a nationwide selection for a new member of The Seven.
• After reviewing the finalists, Lin Mo and the judges chose Annie January over Misty Tucker Gray, welcoming Annie as a colleague.
• As Annie went to meet the media, Lin Mo heard a crash and learned that A-Train had hit Robin.
• Lin Mo, Joanna, and Maeve arrived at the scene, where Hughie pleaded with Lin Mo to save Robin.
• Lin Mo examined Robin and told Hughie she could be treated, then assured him that Vought would cover her care.
• Lin Mo instructed Maeve to prepare a private hospital and told A-Train to go there while Vought sent someone else after the criminal.
• Lin Mo told A-Train he had questions for him at the hospital, leaving A-Train tense.

Lin Mo worked to stabilize Compound V so he could save Robin, while A-Train accepted a dangerous treatment and Hughie was drawn between Lin Mo and Butcher. The arc ended with Hughie injecting Lin Mo’s improved serum as his body began to change.

• Lin Mo promised to improve Compound V before using it on Robin, and Hughie agreed to become the test subject rather than let Robin take the risk.
• Lin Mo offered A-Train Original Compound V as a chance to restore and improve his abilities, and A-Train accepted the danger and injected it.
• A-Train revealed that Madelyn had supplied him with Compound V and sent him overseas with it, leading Lin Mo to suspect she was planning to create superpowered terrorists.
• Lin Mo studied Vought’s research and produced two improved serums, one for predictable physical enhancement and one that could grant varied powers without the original fatal risks and side effects.
• Butcher approached Hughie with allegations about Vought and the Seven, and Hughie agreed to hear him out while keeping his knowledge of Compound V secret.
• Lin Mo acknowledged that some of Hughie’s allegations were real and promised to investigate, while reminding him that protecting Robin was what mattered most to him.
• Lin Mo gave Hughie the improved Compound V, and Hughie injected it as his body began to change.
