Inside the Academy's Medical Office.

"All right. Rover is over on the Dark Side, so I'll talk to Mo Bai about Mo Hei first. Is that okay, Doctor Lu?"

After speaking, Losera turned to him, as though worried she might be taking up his time.

"Of course. As a doctor, I can listen in and pick up a few tips for dealing with those students later."

Doctor Lu smiled and gestured for her to go ahead.

He knew that despite her lofty position as Principal, Losera never put on airs.

Joking and gossiping with students was one of her favorite things to do at the Academy.

In fact, he had learned some of his ways of comforting students from her.

"Then I'll begin."

Losera stepped a little closer to Mo Bai and took something out.

It was... an Echo plushie?

Mo Bai stared at it, puzzled.

What did it have to do with Mo Hei?

"Remember my Resonance Ability?"

Losera's question interrupted his thoughts.

"Yes. By touching someone's belongings, you can see memories connected to their owner..."

After a moment's thought, Mo Bai realized whose belongings she meant.

"This is Mo Hei's?"

"Yes. She won it at the Arcade with Siglica and Dania. She didn't tell you, so naturally you wouldn't know."

"..."

Mo Bai had no answer to that.

He knew she was right.

But wasn't this what he had wanted?

He had wanted Mo Hei to stop relying on him so much, so he had let go and given her freedom.

Lately, he had even been deliberately keeping his distance from her.

Losera sighed.

Seeing his expression, she gave him a weary, knowing look.

She had caught a glimpse of the battle recorded on Mo Bai's Tacet Disc: his fight against the Shikigami Mahoraga in Void Matter Space.
