After Mo Bai and Feixue left Losera's office through the automatic doors, they did not immediately head for the Dark Plains.

Since the blade used to suppress the Dark Plains was part of Feixue's power, she was effectively the leader of this operation.

So Mo Bai simply followed behind the taciturn Miko.

What he had not expected was that the responsible Miko Losera had described was now heading toward the Sonoro of Honami.

Still, Mo Bai knew that saving the world was not something that could be done in a day. Something that big took preparation.

So he said nothing and quietly followed her.

"Mo Bai."

Partway there, after some students had noticed Feixue and begun watching her, she finally spoke her first words since leaving Losera's office.

"I'm here."

Mo Bai had never spent time alone with this cold-faced Miko, and they had not known each other for very long.

So he answered in his normal voice.

If Aemeath or Lynae had suddenly called out to him like that, he would certainly have cracked a silly joke to lighten the mood.

After hearing Mo Bai's reply, Feixue slowed her steps slightly, accompanied by the clear, pleasant chime of a bell.

"Don't you find it strange? That Star Torch Academy has a Miko like me?"

"I thought you were going to ask why I wasn't asking about us not going to the Dark Plains right now."

Mo Bai's answer made Feixue frown slightly. Then she placed a hand on her chin, looking thoughtful.

Apparently, his response had left her unsure how to continue.

"All right, why does the Academy have a Miko like you, Feixue?"

Seeing this, Mo Bai had no choice but to follow her lead and ask.

This cold-faced Miko really did seem much more clueless
