On the last day of the holiday, Samir paid his promised visit. The Harper warlock said that Lady Laeral and her daughter were still enjoying their holiday, but she had agreed to receive Aaron two days later to discuss his joining the Arabel Restoration Army.
Lady Laeral was particularly interested in Aaron. The countess who had lost her territory had clearly heard of him, too. She specifically asked him to reconsider carefully and prepare himself for a bitter struggle.
Few within Cormyr were optimistic about Lady Laeral's military campaign. Many nobles were unwilling to contribute, and Alusair also believed that launching an offensive against twenty thousand enemies, mostly Orks, would be no easy undertaking.
But Lady Laeral had made up her mind.
So had Aaron.
The holiday in early January of 1363 DR ended. That day, Aaron first visited the master dwarven craftsman Fojal Wilhelm and collected his Serpent Scales white dragon hide armor.
Legendary Serpent Scales white dragon hide armor. Equipment rarity: very rare. This light white dragon armor granted its wearer strong resistance to piercing, bludgeoning, and slashing damage from nonmagical weapons, as well as partial immunity to cold damage. The white Dragonhide provided strong resistance to certain types of dragon breath. The addition of serpent scales made this leather armor highly resistant to corrosion, particularly corrosion caused by venom. This Dragonhide armor could also be infused with magical power.
