After his apotheosis, Aaron could no longer spend long periods in the Realms as he once had. As a deity, he had to send his avatars through the Crystal Sphere in accordance with its laws to communicate and interact with mortals, and every such action cost a great deal of divine power.

The good news was that Aaron's divine essence did not come from his followers' faith. As long as death, murder, exchanges of energy, and changes in entropy still existed in the Multiverse, his place among the gods was secure.

The bad news was that Aaron had a lot to do.

He could hardly hang around the mortal world conducting interviews one by one, so he entrusted the task to Lady Charlotte.

Charlotte's recommendation was Imoen, the Godspawn of Bhaal.

Aaron did not believe Charlotte would harm him. Since the young lady was so adamant that Imoen was a good choice, he would meet her.

Before long, Imoen appeared. Compared with their first meeting, her face had lost much of its baby fat, and her maturing features had become delicate and lovely. Her figure had also grown much more slender and graceful. She still dressed as simply as ever: a ginger-colored wool shirt over a white blouse, with a leather coat on top. Beneath her lake-green plaid pleated skirt, she wore classic thick black velvet winter tights and soft brown leather boots. Two little silver chains hung from the flat, heelless boots.
