In Konoha: Three Choices at the Start

At the Konoha Border, smoke swirled, and Liuyun appeared.

"Lord Liuyun! What brings you here?"

Nara Beigen, who was patrolling the border, blurted out the question when he saw him.

"Beigen? Why are you still at the border? Didn't everyone go back?"

Liuyun hadn't expected to run into an old acquaintance here.

"The fighting's over, but some people still have to stay and patrol the border. I'm one of them."

Nara Beigen gave a bitter smile. "Just my luck. I drew the patrol assignment!"

"Luckily, border duty rotates every three months. We'll be back in Konoha before long!"

A smile touched Nara Beigen's lips, as though he were already imagining the good life awaiting him back home.

"Lord Liuyun, are you leaving?"

After a moment's hesitation, Nara Beigen asked.

Out here at the border, he had heard more than enough about Liuyun's affairs.

Merchants from other countries had even come specifically to ask him about it, pestering him to no end.

"Mm. A new era has arrived. There's no reason for the remnants of the old one to remain."

Liuyun spoke calmly. "I'm off."

He waved, and a torrent of Chakra surged skyward from his body.

Cold air burst forth, ice billowed, and an open carriage as tall as a person appeared before them.

An Ice Dragon rising from the sea was carved into its left side, and a Phoenix soaring into the sky adorned its right.

Mysterious Runes covered its frame, gleaming with rainbow colors in the sunlight.

Liuyun climbed aboard and sat down. Above him, two Ice Dragons faced each other.

A deep-blue orb hung between them.

Two dragons played with a pearl, the orb poised directly over Liuyun's head.

Sitting up there instantly made him look far more impressive.
