Gladius wore a mask and stood with his arms crossed over his chest. "Being targeted by the other six at once would be hard to take."
"The best move now is to find a suitable excuse and turn Chris down politely."
Vergo adjusted his sunglasses. "If we can stay out of it, that's obviously best."
"The question is whether the young master can refuse Chris..."
The others murmured among themselves, trading opinions.
At the same time, none of them could quite gauge Chris's attitude.
If Chris refused to budge, turning him down would be difficult.
Doflamingo's face darkened. "Chris, I'm not going to the Pudora Kingdom."
"The Donquixote Family's business is at a critical point right now."
"How am I supposed to leave?"
Doflamingo stressed again that he had matters to attend to and could not leave.
His meaning was clear: the Chris Pirates weren't the only ones with important business.
Chris, however, didn't care. His voice remained cold. "We're launching the war at this time the day after tomorrow."

With that, Chris hung up.
He gave Doflamingo no chance to reply.

Of course he could tell that Chris was openly threatening him.
Doflamingo felt the humiliation of being treated as though he didn't matter.

Doflamingo cursed and overturned the table in front of him.
