What surprised Chris, though, was that Apoo knew how to look after his people.
Chris had always thought of Apoo as selfish and untrustworthy.
Now, though, his personality seemed to have changed.
This small gesture, at least, showed that he could be relied on.
Chris wasn't worried, either. No one under his command would dare betray him.
Lafitte pressed down the brim of his hat and chuckled. "Robin certainly has a good eye for people."
"Everyone in this group has some strength, and they all have plenty of potential."
"Give them some time and experience, and I'm sure they'll stand out and show what they can do!"
Doc Q narrowed his eyes slightly and murmured, "This Apoo does seem capable."
"It can't have been easy for him to get this far on his own."
"I wonder what his abilities actually are."
Demon Gin folded his arms across his chest. "There's an easy way to find out."
"We'll be going to war with the Pudora Kingdom soon. We'll see what he's capable of on the battlefield."
"And since Chris has acknowledged him, I doubt he's weak!"
The Division Commanders were interested in Apoo. They had already heard plenty of rumors about him.
Now that they had met him, his Longarm Tribe heritage intrigued them even more.
No one from the Longarm Tribe had ever come aboard the Chris before.
They were all curious to see how he fought.
Chris waved a hand. "Lafitte, show Apoo and his people around."
"And tell them the rules of the Chris Pirates."
"As for which Squads they join, I'll leave that to you."
As he spoke, Chris cast the Division Commanders a pointed look.
Chris rarely interfered in the affairs of the individual Squads.
How far each Squad went depended on its Division Commander's ability
