Hancock gazed at the strikingly handsome man before her, her eyes blinking as she smiled. "I think that no matter what the problem is..."

"Once it's in your hands, you'll solve it without the slightest difficulty."

"Really. That's the feeling you give me."

"You're a powerful, mysterious man. Hee-hee."

Chris ignored Hancock's praise. He slowly crouched and placed the fruit on Gamenio's chest, over his heart.

As always, his gaze was calm, without a trace of excitement.

"Chris, what are you doing now?"

Hancock crouched beside him. His strange behavior finally made her ask.

The title of the world's most beautiful woman was no exaggeration.

As Hancock crouched, her figure became even more striking, her hair flowing around her.

She was enough to take anyone's breath away!

"Ever since I ate the Repel-Repel Fruit, I've been studying how to force a Devil Fruit out of someone who's eaten it."

Chris flicked away his cigarette butt and said calmly, "That's what I'm about to do."

With that, he spread the fingers of his right hand. A faint white glow appeared and steadily gathered.

"What?!"

She was stunned.

Hancock was stunned all over again.

She knew Chris was immensely powerful and shrouded in mystery.

But she had never imagined he possessed such an uncanny ability.

Was that really something a person could do?

Was the man before her truly capable of anything?

"Oh, forget it. I don't even know what to say anymore."

Hancock looked at Chris, admiration shining in her eyes. "You're incredible. I suppose I should stop being surprised."

"Whatever happens around you, I'll just accept it. I'll remember that."

Chris still paid her no mind. Brilliant white light burst from his right hand, enveloping all three of them.

His gaze sharpened, and he pressed his right hand against Gamenio.

Repulsive force unleashed!

Gamenio had suffered a devastating blow to the head. He lay there like a dead dog, unable to regain consciousness.

"It's changing. It really is..."

Hancock stared at the fruit without blinking.

She suddenly noticed its color changing.

The fruit had been blue all over, but its base was turning black, the color rapidly spreading upward.

Soon, the entire fruit was pitch-black, covered in strange swirling patterns.

It looked mysterious, unlike any ordinary fruit.

"It worked. It really worked!"

Hancock looked at Chris, her eyes shining and her face full of adoration as she spoke in delight.

"Chris, you never stop amazing me. Do you know how extraordinary you are?"

"I'm proud. I'm so proud of you!"

Chris lifted his hand. As the white light faded, a faint smile appeared on his face. "It worked."

He picked up the fruit and slowly stood.

Thud!

Chris kicked Gamenio away, sending him toward the magma.

Perhaps the pain roused Gamenio.

He suddenly realized he had no strength left, and his whole body ached.

"Damn it. What's going on?"

Then he caught sight of the magma below. Panic seized him, and he clenched his right hand, trying to merge with it.

"What? My power..."

"It's over..."

When Gamenio found he could no longer use his Devil Fruit ability, he panicked completely.

He knew he was dead.

With a splash, he fell into the magma.

"Argh!"

After one scream, the magma swallowed him whole. There was no chance he had survived.

Hancock gave a scornful laugh. "That wretched man dared threaten me. He got what he deserved."

Then she turned to Chris with a smile. "Chris, thank you for getting rid of him for me. Hee-hee."

Chris said nothing. He lowered his head slightly and studied the Devil Fruit in his hand.

His gaze steadied. At last, he made his decision.

He raised the fruit and took a hard bite.

"Chris, what are you doing?"

Hancock jumped, panic flooding her face. "Spit it out! You can't eat that!"

"If someone with an ability eats a second Devil Fruit, they'll..."

Chris waved a hand, signaling that she needn't worry.

Then he slowly closed his eyes. White light rose from his body and enveloped him.

Seeing him like that, Hancock understood.

Chris had a way to eat two Devil Fruits.

The realization shook her once again.

"Chris, how are you so incredible? I'm in awe of you."

Hancock watched him in silence, breathing softly for fear of disturbing the man she loved.

Her eyes brimmed with affection.

He was so handsome, so steady and mature, and his strength was terrifying...

She was smitten.

Hancock had fallen for him completely.

Her love for Chris had reached its peak.

Chris exhaled. The white light around him gradually faded, and he slowly opened his eyes.

"It worked! Chris, you really are the best. I'm so happy."

The moment Hancock saw him, she understood.

The man she loved now possessed the power of the Copy-Copy Fruit.

"Chris, show me. I'm curious."

Hancock's eyes sparkled, anticipation lighting her beautiful face.

The stronger the man she loved became, the happier she felt.

Hancock wanted to know everything that happened to Chris and was willing to spend as long as it took learning about him.

She wanted to understand him through and through.

She refused to miss a single detail!

Chris nodded without a word. He slowly raised his right hand and pointed a finger toward the magma.

Hancock's eyes lit up at the gesture, and delight spread across her face.

"Admiral Borsalino's power."

Sure enough, a pale golden point of light appeared, confirming her guess.

It rapidly expanded into a golden ring of light, bathing them both in a soft glow.

Whoosh!

A brilliant beam tore through the air and shot toward the magma pool.

Boom!

A thunderous explosion rang out across the entire island.

At the island's edge, the warriors from Amazon Lily looked at one another when they heard it, unsure what had happened.

"What's going on? Is that bastard still alive?"

Kalana frowned, confusion plain on her face.

Sandersonia shook her head. "Lord Chris is far too strong to have failed to kill him."

"Don't worry. I'm sure everything's fine."

Marigold raised her voice to remind the warriors.

"Nobody go over there. Nothing's wrong, and we mustn't disturb our sister."

The women from Amazon Lily nodded and answered at once, "Yes, Lady Marigold!"

Deep within the island.

Hancock stared at the place the beam had struck, shock written across her beautiful face. "So powerful. It's truly powerful!"

"No wonder an Admiral possessed that Devil Fruit. Its destructive power is extraordinary."

The magma pool had vanished. A massive crater lay in its place, surrounded by scorched earth.

The scene looked like the depths of hell.

Chris frowned, a rare sight. A thoughtful look crossed his resolute face.

Noticing something was amiss with the man she loved, Hancock swept back her glossy dark hair and smiled. "Chris, what's wrong?"

"This fruit can copy another person's ability, but it can't reproduce its full power."

Chris slipped his hands into his pockets. "It can reproduce at most ninety percent of the original user's attack power. That's its limit."

"And to copy someone's ability, I first have to see that person use their Devil Fruit power."
