Ochoku realized that the young man before him seemed to know the past inside out.
It was almost as if Chris had once been a member of the Rocks Pirates.
Ochoku frowned slightly and studied Chris.
"Young man, you keep finding ways to surprise me," he murmured.
"I'm curious who you really are."
"How do you know so much about what happened between us?"
"And the path you're taking now really does resemble Rocks's!"
Chris looked unruffled. "You're not the only one curious about who I am."
"But not everyone has the right to know that much."
"Besides, Rocks and I aren't the same kind of man."
"He never had absolute control over his subordinates, did he?"
"Otherwise, he wouldn't have fallen on God's Island while the rest of you survived."
Chris knew only the broad outline of what had happened on God's Island.
